UPTET Notification 2019 : Check Application Form,Syllabus & Exam Dates

The Uttar Pradesh Teaching Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board to authenticate candidates who wish to apply as Teachers ( Primary & Upper Primary) in Uttar Pradesh Government Schools. The Official UPTET Notification 2019 was released on October 30, 2019 and the UPTET Exam was supposed to be conducted on 22 December 2019.

Due to the riots and other circumstances, the conducting body delayed the exam and it was conducted on January 10, 2020.

Latest: UP Education Commission Board will be publishing the UPTET Result on the official website. It will include the list of all qualifying candidates along with their scorecards. The candidates will be called for final verification to get the eligibility certificate.

  • The UPTET Eligibility Criteria states that candidates in the age range of 18 to 35 years can apply for the examination. 
  • Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted in 2 Papers. Paper 1 - For Primary Classes 1 to 5, Paper 2 - Upper Primary for Classes 6 to 8. 
  • The qualifying candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the UPTET Cut off decided and published along with the result.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teacher (Paper 1) 

The Eligibility criteria set for the primary teacher post is as follows:- 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any government recognized university & 2 years Diploma (D.Ed) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR
  • Bachelor’s degree & 2 years B.T.C., C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) OR
  • Bachelor’s degree & qualification in Special B.T.C. Training OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years & BCT Urdu special training in Uttar Pradesh OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University (For Urdu Teacher) or Moallim-E-Urdu Degree before 11-08-1997. 

UPTET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher (Paper 2) 

Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher is as follows:- 

  • Bachelor’s degree & B.T.C from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) approved institute OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks & B.Ed/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) OR
  • Intermediate (10+2) with minimum 50% marks & 4 year B.A/ B.S.C.Ed/ B.A.Ed from N.C.T.E./ U.G.C recognized institute OR
  • Intermediate (10+2) with minimum 50% marks & 4 year Degree (B.El.Ed) in Primary Education OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% scored & a B.Ed degree.

Candidates can Apply Online for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test through the link mentioned in the first paragraph of this post. Important steps to fill the UPTET Online Form-

  • Register on the official website with your valid email address & phone number.
  • Click on the Notification for Recruitment and proceed to fill the application form.
  • Upload all requested Documents: Scanned copy of the signature and a passport-sized photograph.
  • Proceed to pay the Application Fee The Fee payment can be done online and offline both. 
  • Take a print out of the UPTET Application Form 2019 for future reference.

Candidates whose application is confirmed will be able to download their UPTET Call Letter from the official website - upbasiceduboard.gov.in. 

  • The UPTET Admit Card will be released 7-10 days before the date of the exam. 
  • The Admit card will not be mailed to the candidate’s home, it will be available online only.

Roll Number/Registration Number: The candidate's unique registration number is clearly written on the Admit Card.

Exam Center Information: The Address of the Examination center along with the center code is mentioned on the admit card.

UPTET Qualifying Marks 2019

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has set qualifying criteria for all candidates appearing in the exam. Candidates who achieve the minimum marks set by UPBEB will get the UPTET Eligibility Certificate.

  • The Certificate will be eligible for 5 Years
  • Candidates who are awarded the certificate will be able to apply in Government schools of Uttar Pradesh.
  • UPTET Certificate will be available for selected candidates at the District Education Board.

How to Get Second Copy of the UPTET Eligibility Certificate?

  • Candidates will be able to get the second copy of the certificate by paying a fee of Rs 300/- in the form of Demand Draft payable at Secretary, Examination Controller Officer, Uttar Pradesh, 23 Allenganj, Allahabad
  • Candidates will have to submit a copy of the following documents: Marksheet of Class 10th, UPTET Admit Card, Caste/Physically Handicapped Certificate, an advertisement of lost Eligibility Certificate in Newspaper & FIR copy of the lost Certificate. 

UPTET Result 2019

The Result along with the shortlisted candidate's list is expected to be declared by December 2019.

  • The result will be released on the official website of UPTET.
  • Major Newspapers in Uttar Pradesh will also release the UPTET Result. 
  • Candidates will be able to get a copy of their OMR sheet by submitting a demand draft of Rs 500/- in favor of “Secretary, Examination Controller Officer” payable at Allahabad.
