About RRB Group D

Established in 1845, Indian Railways is one of the largest employment service providers in the country. Indian Railways is divided into 17 zones, which are further sub-divided into various divisions. There are divisional headquarters for these divisions. Railway Recruitment Board was set up in 1998 to carry out various recruitment procedures for Indian Railways. RRB Group D recruitment covers the following posts:

The official Notification for RRB Group D was published in February 2018 by Railway recruitment board for a total of 62,907 vacant seats. Application process for the recruitment is over for the ongoing recruitment. How to Apply for RRB Group D

    The application link is not active now. The application procedure given below is according to the past few years' method.

  • Visit the official website of RRB Zones.
  • Click on the Recruitment option on the homepage.
  • Select the region for which you want to apply as Indian railways provide option for 21 regions of India.
  • An online application is displayed on your screen
  • Click on the “New registration link”.
  • Fill in all your details carefully and apply for the desired post.
  • Submit the application form (Stage I completed).
  • A registration number and password is displayed on the screen.
  • Login to the website again using the registration number and password.
  • Fill in the required details (Stage II completed).
  • In the next step, make the application fee payment through net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ e-challan/ pay-in-slip payable any bank.
  • Affix your passport sized photograph and signature along with left-hand thumb impression, also copy the declaration.
  • Scan the filled template in the format given in the instructions.
  • Submit the application form but before that check it carefully and take out print for further use.

RRB Group D Salary

 As per the 7th Pay Commission, RRB Group D is eligible for an initial pay of Rs18,000 per month. Apart from the salary, they are also eligible for various perks and allowances.

RRB Group D Selection Process:

The selection procedure for RRB Group D involves four stages:

  1. Computer Based Test
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Document Verification
  4. Medical Examination

RRB Group D Exam Pattern:

The stage 1 RRB Group D is a computer-based test (CBT) pattern as follow:

  • The Computer Based Test is objective in nature.
  • The RRC Question paper for group D will be Based on the Subjects like general knowledge/ awareness/ mathematics / reasoning etc.
  • The Questions will be of the level of 10th class standard.
  • Written Exam consist only Multiple-Choice Questions.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect response.
