The Bihar Judicial Services announced the pre-exam date, i.e., on 7th October 2020. Candidates qualifying for the Preliminary exam will be successfully eligible for Mains Exam. 

August 26, 2020: Extended Application Process

The BPSC has extended the application process for Civil Judge Recruitment. Candidates who have missed applying can apply until 12th September 2020 from the official website.

Jharkhand High Court Civil Judge Notification 2020

The exam officials release an official document called the Jharkhand Judiciary Notification before the exam, which contains detailed information about the recruitment process. Jharkhand Civil Judge Salary 2020

The Jharkhand psc civil judge's salary lies between Rs.27,700 to Rs.44,770 per month. Dearness allowance, rent allowance, and travel allowance are offered according to State government rules. Out of the PCS J Salary arrears, 40% is deposited in the officers’ General provident fund, and the remaining amount is given during two consecutive fiscal years in equal instalments.

Jharkhand Judiciary Eligibility Criteria 2020

  • The practice of Law and Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess an LLB degree from a university preferably recognized by BCI. Up until the last date of form submission, they must be enrolled as an Advocate. It is mandatory that the candidate have active and valid registration and application. A candidate cannot appear for the exam with a suspended registration. The fee for general category candidates is Rs. 400, and that for reserved category candidates is Rs. 100.
  • General Requirements: Considering the Judiciary Exam Eligibility as per the notification, the candidate must be an Indian citizen in sound physical and mental health. They must have good moral character without any criminal records.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age for candidates appearing for the Jharkhand Judiciary exam is 22 years, while the maximum is 35 years, up to the date mentioned in the high court notice. In case the candidate is female or a member of a Scheduled Tribe or a Scheduled Caste, their upper age limit can be extended by three years.

Jharkhand Judiciary Application Form 2020

In order to participate in the Jharkhand civil judge exam, candidates must apply online through the application form. The steps to be followed are given below:

  1. Visit the official Jharkhand Public Service Commission website and click on the application form link. 
  2. Put in all the required details in the application form, such as educational qualification, address, date of birth, and name.
  3. Next, you need to upload a self-attested passport-size photograph in the required format and size.
  4. Select Passport Size Photo, click on choose file, select the photo to be uploaded, and then click on upload.
  5. Scan and upload your signature.
  6. There is an application fee that you will need to pay online mode.
  7. You can pay the application fee via net banking, debit card, and credit card. 
  8. Jharkhand judiciary recruitment exam has a fee of Rs. 600 for the general category candidates and Rs. 150 for reserved category candidates.

Jharkhand Judiciary Service Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2020

The selection of candidates for Jharkhand judiciary recruitment 2020 will be made on the basis of a written examination. This exam includes two parts: the preliminary and the main exams. The final part of the exam consists of a face-to-face interview or a personality test.

Here are the details of the Judiciary Exam Pattern for Jharkhand Civil Judge Recruitment:

  • The Preliminary Entrance Test is a written exam with objective or Multiple Choice type questions.
  • The full marks for the Preliminary exam are 100 marks.
  • The Preliminary Entrance Test is of 2 hours duration.
  • Those candidates who are able to clear the preliminary exam will be eligible for the Mains Exam. 
  • The main exam for Jharkhand civil judge recruitment 2020 is a subjective one. Candidates who clear the main examination will be eligible for the interview and the viva test.
  • The Mains exam has 4 papers, each carrying 100 marks, making the total marks to be 400.
  • The examiners will use oral communication for the viva voce test.

The primary stage of the recruitment process is the Prelims Exam. Candidates shall be tested on the following grounds considering the Jharkhand Judiciary Syllabus:

The papers for the Mains exam are as follows. There are four papers of 3 hours duration each.

Paper - IV

English and Hindi Language tests with translation, paraphrasing, writing, and essay.

  1. The Viva-Voce Test for the Jharkhand pcs j exam holds 100 marks. In this test, you will need to score at least 25% marks in order to qualify if you belong to the General Category. For SC/ST/EBC/OBC, the minimum mark required is 20%.

If you do not get the minimum marks required to pass the Viva-Voce exam, you will not be qualified for appointment or selection, no matter how many marks you scored in the Prelims and Mains exams.

The exam officials will consider both the Main Exam marks and the Viva-Voce Test marks to prepare the final selection list of candidates. In case two candidates score the same marks in the selection list, the exam officials will use the qualification metrics to arrange them accordingly. 

The candidate with a Post Graduate Degree in the concerned field will be chosen over the others. After that, they will take into account the work experience in law practice, followed by the age factor, where senior candidates are given more preference.

Jharkhand Judiciary Civil Judge Recruitment 2020 Admit Card

The admit card is an important document that every candidate appearing for the Jharkhand judiciary 2020 exam must carry to the exam hall. Usually, the exam authority releases the admit card a couple of weeks before the exam.

  • You can find the admit card for the PCS J Jharkhand exam on the commission’s official website.
  • You need to download the admit card and take a printout of it.
  • All candidates must bring the admit card with them on exam day. Otherwise, they won't be allowed to sit for the exam.

The Jharkhand High Court official website will release the results of the Pre Exam first, followed by that of the Main Exam. After the interview round is over, the authorities will release the final result on the website. As such, candidates need to stay updated and check the website regularly for the results notification.

Probation Period Jharkhand State Judiciary Recruitment 2020

After the candidates get selected in the final selection list, they need to serve a probation period of 2 years. The probation period may be extended in individual cases depending on performance and other parameters. This may depend on the passing of the examination prescribed by the High Court during service.
