NTA CUET 2026 Answer Key Dates

The CUET (UG)-2026 was conducted from May 11 2026, to June 7, 2026, in multiple shifts in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across the Country and abroad for 1,354,699 registered candidates.

• The provisional CUET answer key 2026 has been released, as the exam is now over for all exam modes and cities. 
• The final CUET 2026 answer key will be released shortly. It is expected to be out by the 3rd week of June.

Steps to Challenge Provisional CUET UG Answer Key 2026 

To raise objections against the provisional CUET 2026 Answer Key, remember these points: 

• You can raise objections if you find discrepancies in the CUET provisional answer key. 
• The final answer key will be considered for the CUET counselling process for the course and college.
• You are allowed to file objections within the window period, but only online.

You can follow the steps below to raise objections against the provisional CUET 2026 UG Answer Key.

• Step 1 - Visit the official website (https://cuet.nta.nic.in.)
• Step 2 - Click the "View/Challenge Answer Key" link.
• Step 3 - Log in to your account using your application number and password/date of birth.
• Step 4 - Select the CUET UG Answer Key question you wish to object to.
• Step 5 - Upload the proof of objection for each question by clicking the "choose file and upload" button.
• Step 6 - Submit the objections by paying Rs 200 per question.
• Step 7 - Click on 'Modify your Claims' if you wish to modify the claims, or 'Final Submit'.
• Step 8-  Pay this amount only through online mode. Make payment through Debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

1. The Question IDs in the CUET 2026 Answer Key list are not presented in sequential order. Refer to the Question Paper and match the corresponding Question IDs to those listed in the Answer Key.
2. The ID next to the question under the column 'Correct Option(s)' stands for the correct Answer Key to the question.
3. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.

Provisional vs Final vs Revised Final CUET Answer Key

• Provisional Answer Key: Released first. You can calculate tentative scores and raise objections within the given timeline.
• Final Answer Key: Released after NTA reviews the challenges. The CUET result is prepared using the final answer key.
• Revised Final Answer Key (if applicable): In some cases, NTA may release a revised final key if corrections are made after the final key.

Marking Scheme of NTA CUET 2026 Answer Key

The official notification regarding the CUET marking scheme indicates a negative marking in the entrance exam.

The exam is divided into 3 sections; the table below explains the marks awarded for each question.

• If more than one option is correct, then five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

• If none of the options is correct, a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5).

Using the CUET UG answer key, you can calculate your scores based on the following points:

• Check your answers against the official CUET answer key
• Count the total number of right and wrong answers in the NTA CUET UG answer key
• Multiply the number of correct answers by 5
• Multiply the number of incorrect answers by 1
• Subtract the total score of correct answers and incorrect answers
• Predict your rank and safe score as expected before the result date's release

What Happens After Downloading the CUET 2026 Answer Key?

Verify your answers once the provisional answer key for the CUET exam is released. If there's any discrepancy, report it to the authorities, keeping in mind the following points: 

• You can challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable online payment of ₹200/-per question, challenged as processing charges. 

• Only paid challenges made during the stipulated time through the key challenge links will be considered.
