Mistakes to Avoid in MAT 2026 Application Form

When filling out the MAT registration form 2026, you must be very careful because AIMA does not allow corrections once the application is submitted.

A single mistake can lead to rejection of your application or issues at later stages during the exam/admission. Below are the most common mistakes aspirants make and how you can avoid them:

1. Incorrect Name or Date of Birth (DOB) Entry

  • Your name and DOB must exactly match your official ID proof and Class 10 certificate.
  • Spelling errors, use of nicknames, or mismatched DOB may lead to discrepancies in the MAT admit card or result verification.

2. Selecting the Wrong Exam City

  • Once chosen, the test city cannot be changed after submission.
  • Many aspirants mistakenly select an exam city without checking travel feasibility. Always select the city that is closest and most convenient to you.

3. Uploading Invalid or Blurred Images

  • Ensure your photo and signature follow the size, format, and quality specifications provided by AIMA.
  • Low-quality images, scanned black-and-white photographs, or oversized files may result in rejection.
  • Use a recent passport-size colour photo against a plain background.

4. Using Outdated Contact Details

  • Your email ID and mobile number must be valid and active throughout the admission cycle.
  • AIMA shares important updates (like admit card download, exam guidelines, and result notifications) only via registered email and mobile.
  • Avoid using old email accounts or inactive SIM numbers.

5. Not Completing Fee Payment Properly

  • Ensure you complete the payment transaction before the deadline.
  • Sometimes technical errors cause incomplete transactions; always check for payment confirmation and download fee receipt.
  • Without successful fee payment, your MAT registration will remain incomplete.

6. Entering Wrong Academic Details

  • Incorrect marks, wrong year of passing, or mismatched roll numbers may create issues during MBA admission verification.
  • Keep your Class 10, 12, and graduation mark sheets handy while filling the form.

7. Late Registration

  • Many candidates wait until the last date, which increases chances of errors under stress.
  • Always try to complete MAT registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute rush and website server issues.

8. Overlooking MBA College Choices

  • You can select up to five MBA institutes at no extra cost.
  • Many aspirants forget to choose suitable colleges during MAT registration and have to pay extra later. Research beforehand and select strategically.

9. Not Saving the Final Confirmation Page

  • Always download and keep a copy of the final submitted form and payment confirmation.
  • This helps in resolving issues if there is any problem with your candidature or exam day reference.
