CUET 2026 Counselling is the concluding step in getting admission into one of the 280+ participating universities with valid CUET scores.
Counselling is the final step in the admission process, which commences after the CUET UG result is announced. The participating institutes release the admission application form, CUET cutoff, or CUET merit lists of registered candidates qualifying for the exam and meeting that institute or university's eligibility and cutoff criteria.
Along with releasing the scorecard, NTA will send candidates’ scores to the universities they opted for when filling out the CUET application form.
Each CUET participating university conducts its separate counselling or admission process.
Important Points to Note:
Once you appear in the CUET entrance exam, you may participate in the CUET Exam Counselling/admission process for that academic session of any university even though you have not applied for that in the CUET (UG) online application form.
However, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the course of the university/institution/organization to which they seek admission.
Also, the university/institution/organization may admit any candidate who has appeared for CUET (UG), regardless of whether the candidate chose that university in the CUET (UG) online application form.
