IBPS PO 2016: How many Candidates will qualify for IBPS PO Mains with Expected Cut off Marks

IBPS PO: The name on every bank aspirant’s mind these days. Reason being the examination is round the corner. Around 10 to 12 lakh students appear for the examination every year and the examination has become extremely popular with cut throat competition. This competition takes place among lakhs of students for all total of 8800 vacancies.

The IBPS PO examination is conducted in two different stages:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam

The dates of the preliminary examination are October 16^th, October 22^nd, October 23^rd and October 27^th. The Mains examination is scheduled in the month of December. As per the feedback of the students, the first shift of the exam was tricky and tough. As per the estimation, 8 to 10 lakh students appear for the prelims every year. IBPS decides it’s cut off in a way of 1: 20 (20 times the number of available vacancies)

As per formula, 8822 x 20 = 1, 76, 440 students

So, on an average 1. 8 lakh students will clear the prelims and will get selected for the IBPS PO Mains examination 2016.

The results of the IBPS PO Prelims will be announced shortly as the examination is conducted via online mode. As per official notifications, the results will be declared in the 1^st or 2^nd week of November 2016.
