Overview: Congratulations! You're on the other side of the Rajasthan APO Prelims. The Rajasthan APO answer key will be out soon!

  • The RPSC will release the answer key for Rajasthan APO prelims a few days after the exam on 2nd September 2026.
  • RPSC first releases a provisional (tentative) key, invites objections from candidates, reviews them, and then publishes a final key on which the result is based.

Here, we give all the details on Rajasthan APO answer key, how to download it and how to calculate your marks, and raise and objection.

Once RPSC publishes the answer key, follow the given steps to download it:

Step 1: Visit the official RPSC website: rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, open the "News & Events" or "Candidate Information → Answer Key" section.

Step 3: Find and click the link titled "Model Answer Key – Assistant Prosecution Officer (Pre.) Exam 2026".

Step 4: The answer key PDF opens on screen. It is typically arranged by question-paper series/set.

Step 5: Download and save the PDF and match it against the question-paper set code printed on your OMR sheet.

You will not need a login to download the key. You will need your SSO ID only to file an objection.

How to Calculate Your Marks Using the Rajasthan APO Answer Key?

The APO Prelims carries negative marking of one-third (1/3) mark for every wrong or multiple answer, so a careless tally can mislead you badly.

If you want to confirm the exact marks-per-question and total before you start, check the Rajasthan APO exam pattern. Then use this method:

Note the marks per question and total questions from your question paper / the official pattern.

  • Count your correct answers → award full marks for each
  • Count your wrong answers → deduct 1/3 of a question's marks for each
  • Unattempted questions carry no penalty
  • Estimated score = (Correct × marks) − (Wrong × ⅓ × marks)

Here's a worked example (assuming 1 mark per question): Suppose you attempted 130 of 150 questions, got 100 right and 30 wrong.

  • Positive marks: 100 × 1 = 100
  • Negative marks: 30 × (1/3) = 10
  • Estimated score = 100 − 10 = 90

How to Raise and Objection Against the RPSC APO Answer Key 2026?

If you believe an answer in the provisional answer key is wrong, RPSC lets you formally challenge it. Here is the process, based on RPSC's standard objection procedure used across its 2026 recruitments:

Step 1: Log in to the Rajasthan SSO portal: sso.rajasthan.gov.in, with your SSO ID and password.

Step 2: Open the RPSC Recruitment Portal and select the "Question Objection" link for the APO exam.

Step 3: Select the question-paper series, then the specific question number you want to challenge.

Step 4: Enter your claimed correct answer with a clear, reasoned explanation.

Step 5: Upload documentary evidence: a scan or citation from a standard textbook, bare act, or authoritative publication. Objections without proof are rejected.

Step 6: Pay the objection fee (RPSC's standard fee is ₹100 per question, plus applicable service charges) via the portal or an E-Mitra kiosk.

Step 7: Submit before the deadline. Late objections are not entertained under any circumstances.

Note: The objection fee is non-refundable in RPSC's usual practice; some RPSC notices specify a refund only where the challenge is upheld.

Is It Worth Raising an Objection?

If you're confused, use this decision-making framework to know whether you should challenge the Rajasthan APO answer key or not.

Situation

File an objection?

Why

You have a clear bare-act section or a settled Supreme Court/High Court authority contradicting the key

Yes

Strongest possible ground; documentary proof is decisive

The question is genuinely ambiguous (two defensible answers) and you can cite both

Yes, if borderline

If your Prelims result hinges on a mark or two, it's worth it

You "feel" the answer is wrong but have no textbook citation

No

RPSC discards unsupported objections; you lose ₹100

Your estimated score is comfortably above the likely cut-off

Usually no

A corrected mark or two won't change your qualification

Your estimated score is within a few marks of the expected cut-off

Yes

Every corrected mark can decide qualification

To ensure a solid proof, refer your Rajasthan APO syllabus and bare acts so you can cite the exact provision.

Mistakes to Avoid with Rajasthan APO Answer Key 2026

  • Matching the wrong paper set. RPSC uses multiple series (A/B/C/D). Matching your answers to the wrong set produces a wildly wrong score. Check your OMR's set code first.
  • Forgetting negative marking. Counting only correct answers inflates your estimate and creates false confidence or false panic.
  • Treating the provisional key as final. Answers do change after objections. Don't make a big decision (like abandoning Mains prep) on the provisional key alone.
  • Filing evidence-free objections. Emotion is not evidence. No citation, no consideration, and no refund.
  • Missing the window. The objection period is short (often ~3 days). Diarise it the moment the key drops.
  • Ignoring Mains while waiting for the result. The Prelims is only qualifying. The gap between Prelims (2 Sep) and Mains (27 Dec) is your real preparation runway. The answer key tells you whether to start now.

What Happens After the Rajasthan APO Answer Key is Released?

Once the objection window closes, RPSC reviews the challenges, issues the final answer key, and then declares the Rajasthan APO Prelims result.

The Rajasthan APO cut off is released with or after the result and depends on the number of candidates, vacancies (371 announced this cycle), difficulty, and category.

If your estimated score sits near the expected cut-off, the sensible move is to begin Rajasthan APO Mains preparation immediately rather than wait.

The qualifying-only nature of the Prelims means confirmed qualifiers who started early carry a decisive edge into December.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • The Rajasthan APO Prelims 2026 is on 2 September 2026; the answer key will follow on rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, it is not out yet.
  • Download the key, match it to your correct paper set, and calculate marks using the +1 / −1/3 rule.
  • File objections only with documentary proof, at RPSC's standard ₹100 per question, before the short deadline, and object selectively, not indiscriminately.
  • The Prelims is qualifying only; use your estimated score to decide whether to start Mains prep for the 27 December 2026 exam.
