Quick Answer
There is no standalone UCEED Maths syllabus for 2027 exam. IIT Bombay's information brochure on official UCEED website lists seven Part A domains, and Maths appears only inside Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions and, occasionally, Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
Based on our audit of the 2020-2026 papers, Math-based questions make up about 15% of Part A and test only Class 8-10 level arithmetic, mensuration, ratios, and number patterns - never calculus, trigonometry, or board-level algebra.
To find out exactly what kind of UCEED maths syllabus, and how much of it comes in the exam, we analyzed seven most recent official UCEED question papers from 2020 to 2026 (published at uceed.iitb.ac.in) and counted every question that required real calculation.
The result: roughly 15% of Part A tests basic Maths, and 83% of those questions sit in the one section with no negative marking.

No, and this is the single most misunderstood fact about UCEED prep. IIT Bombay's official UCEED syllabus lists exactly seven Part A domains, none of which is called "Mathematics":
|
Official Part A Domain |
Maths Relevance |
|
Low - occasional geometry/measurement |
|
|
Practical & Scientific Knowledge |
Low |
|
Observation & Design Sensitivity |
None |
|
Environment & Society |
None |
|
Medium - number patterns, ratios |

|
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) section |
High - this is where most real maths lives |
NOTE:
UCEED NAT section isn't listed as a "domain" in the brochure, it's a question format used across domains, and it happens to be where nearly all genuine number-crunching questions land.
That distinction is exactly why so many students search "UCEED Maths syllabus" and can't find a straight answer: they're looking for a subject that doesn't exist, when they should be looking at a question format instead.

The one topic that never skips a year is mensuration. If you only have two weeks before the exam and need to pick one Maths topic to master, this is it.

Analyzing the UCEED previous year papers in order reveals a pattern that isn't visible from any single year in isolation.
Age-based questions, for example, haven't appeared even once since 2022.
If you're preparing from conventional CAT-style aptitude books, you're training for a pattern that's fading.
Time is better spent on mensuration-heavy NAT practice and on the specific hybrid format UCEED has developed. Questions that ask you to count something from a figure and then do arithmetic on that count (for example, subtracting one shape count from another and dividing by a third).

No calculators, watches, or reference tables are allowed in the exam hall, which means every Maths question is a mental-math and estimation exercise, not a formula-recall exercise.
Combined with the fact that 83% of Maths questions carry no negative marking, the highest-leverage skill isn't memorizing more formulas, it's building the confidence to attempt every NAT question.
Then use elimination and approximation to narrow down an answer, and move on quickly if a question isn't clicking rather than losing five minutes chasing exact precision you don't need.

Since there's no penalty for a wrong NAT answer, an educated guess is always better than leaving it blank.
A large share of area/volume questions hide the trick in overlapping or subtracted regions - read the figure twice before calculating.
Ages and mixtures haven't been the focus since 2022; don't let a generic aptitude book set your priorities.
With no calculator allowed, using π ≈ 22/7 or rounding intermediate steps is often faster and just as accurate as exact computation.

If you're 6+ months out, spend the first two months getting comfortable with mensuration formulas (area, perimeter, volume of common and composite shapes) since it's the only topic guaranteed to appear.
Move to ratio/proportion and number-series practice next, since these show up almost as consistently.
In the final two months, shift entirely to timed NAT-style practice using real past papers. The goal isn't learning new formulas anymore, it's building calculation speed under exam conditions.
If you're inside 2 months, skip theory entirely and go straight to solving NAT sections from the last three years' papers, timing yourself strictly.

If you're comparing UCEED to JEE out of fear that you'll need advanced Maths, you can relax, UCEED's Maths ceiling is dramatically lower than JEE's, and the emphasis is on speed and visual-numerical reasoning rather than formula depth.

Yes. Every topic in UCEED Maths syllabus confirmed in this audit is taught by Class 10 - percentages, ratios, basic mensuration, simple probability.
There is no algebraic or trigonometric prerequisite from a science stream. What actually separates strong performers isn't a maths background, it's speed under time pressure, which is trainable through consistent NAT-focused practice regardless of your 11th-12th subject stream.
Maths in UCEED will never be the section that makes or breaks your rank on its own, but with zero negative marking working in your favor across most of it, it's one of the fastest, lowest-risk places to lock in marks with focused practice.
