Exam Date Announced for AILET 2020

The National Law University, Delhi has declared AILET exam date 2020 which will be a home-based RPT (Remote Proctored Testing ) mode of exam across various regions of the country. The AILET 2020 is scheduled for August 18, 2020. The last date of submitting the AILET 2020 applications has extended to July 11, 2020. The examination will include 100/150 questions depending upon the course to be answered in 90 minutes.

Medical Precautions for AILET 2020

The exam is Home Based RPT mode but still, candidates need to take the following precautions:

  • Sanitize their hands in a regular interval of time (recommended: After every 30 mins ).
  • Use a face mask and cotton hand gloves.
  • Maintaining social distancing with other family members.
  • In case, the candidate is giving the exam at a cyber cafe, maintain social distancing there also.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • Don’t shake hands or touch anything unnecessarily.
  • Try to avoid Red zone areas.

Requirements for RPT mode

Candidates must ensure that they have all facilities available for the RPT mode, that are, a good performance computer system and a good internet connection. If the candidate doesn't want to invest in these reliabilities then they can borrow or rent at a cyber cafe.

Withdrawal of Application form

As the mode of examination is changed by NLU, Delhi. They are providing an option for applicants to withdraw their application form if they are unable to attempt the question paper in this mode of testing. Their fees will be refunded to their bank accounts.

How To Download AILET Admit Card 2020?

Downloading the AILET Admit Card is completely an online process. Candidates should keep in mind that  ‘no’ hard copy of the Admit Card will be sent to them by post. Applicants can start to download their Admit Card from July 27, 2020.

Candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below while download the admit card.

  • Visit the official website of AILET ,i.e.,
  • Click on the official link “AILET 2020 Admit Card”
  • Two options will  pop-up on screen and those are as follows: Option 1: Application Number and Date of Birth, Option 2 : Applicants Name and Date of Birth
  • Enter details as per requirements such as Course Applied For, Application Number or Applicant’s Name, Date of Birth.
  • Click on the Submit button
  • Admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download it and take a colored printout for future reference 

Note: If the candidate is unable to download or have any correction to be done, they can contact the concerned authorities as soon as possible.

Problems in Downloading AILET Admit Card

There are some common issues that must be considered and resolved if the candidate is still facing problem in downloading the Admit Card :

  • Incorrect Credentials : If the candidate has entered incorrect login details or forgot any details, they can check the confirmation email they had received at the time of registration. Or they can click on ‘forgot password’ to receive it on their email address.
  • Internet Speed: Check for the quality of internet speed if it is poor then wait for some time and download the admit card when there is good internet speed.
  • Technical Errors: In some situations, the website fails to respond due to heavy traffic on it or some other technical issues. In such a case, candidates are suggested to wait for some time and try to download the AILET Admit Card later.

Documents to be Carried with AILET Hall Ticket

Given are the list of documents one needs to possess to enter inside the examination hall:

  • Printout of NLU Delhi AILET 2020 Admit card: It is possibly the most important document to be carried for an examination. Important details mentioned in the admit card are cross-checked by the examiner.

Note: Make sure that the face of the candidate is clearly visible on the admit card, otherwise the university holds the right to decline the candidate from taking the exam.

  • Photo Id Proof: Any one of the original photo identity proof is advisable to carry along with the admit card. Following is the list of commonly acceptable photo id proofs : (Aadhar Card, Voter’s Card, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card)
  • Passport Size Photographs: Candidate should carry two passport size photographs, preferably the same as used at the time of filling the AILET application form.
  • Disability Certificate (if applied): Candidates belonging to the ‘Person with disability’ (Pwd) category must carry the certificate of their disability to get the benefits as provisioned.

Important Instructions need to be followed on Exam Day

There are strict rules about things that candidate is not allowed to take with them in the exam center which is listed below :

  • Any kind of expensive jewellery or expensive watches.
  • Papers, notes, files, etc.
  • Calculator
  • Any personal belongings
  • Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, camera or any such electronic devices

Possible concerns of Candidates applying for NLU AILET 2020 exam with solutions provided by NLU

  • Security being a challenge in online exams: It will be an AI-assisted and remote proctored exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA is a reliable and government-approved agency which is providing high-quality AI that will not deter any unfair means but also detect the same with digital evidence on the spot.
  • Technical Glitch: Issues like a computer not working, inability to submit, power cut, computer getting frozen, etc. will be satisfactorily dealt with in two webinars on AI-based AILET also a Mock Test will be conducted before commencement of actual exam to prepare students for an online form of testing.
  • Why Home based online RPT: Any examination could be held only using any of the following three models, that are, pen-paper test, center-based online computer-based test, and home-based online RPT.

 The other two models clearly increase the risk of infection by giving access to the outside environment to candidates which is strictly prohibited by the government of India.

  • Unavailability of IT-enabled Platforms: Examination requires a computer and internet both of which can be borrowed or rented at a cyber cafe.
  • Inability to Attempt test: For those who are not able to take online tests due to reasons like inability to use a computer or other issues can withdraw their application form and can get their refund back if they apply for it within the time period of July 01, 2020, to July 11, 2020.
