Maharashtra Judiciary JMFC Eligibility Criteria for the Latest Vacancy

General JMFC Eligibility Criteria:

Criteria	Details
Age Limit	Applicants must be between 21 to 35 years old.
	Maximum age limit for Unreserved category is 35 years.
	Relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category applicants.
Educational Qualifications	Candidates must hold a graduate degree in law or equivalent from a recognized university.
	The degree must be accredited by the Bar Council of India.
Nationality	Candidates must be Indian citizens.
	Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply.

Basic Maharashtra Judiciary Eligibility Criteria for JMFC examination 2024 is, that he/she must be a citizen of India.

Fresh Law Graduate	21	25	30	Degree in Law	Must have completed LLB or LLM with 55% marks and registered as a Lawyer.
Ministerial Staff (Members of the Ministerial Staff of the High Court, Ministerial Staff of the Courts subordinate to the Court)	21	45	50	Degree in Any Discipline	Must have completed 3 years of service after graduation in law.
Lawyer	21	35	40	Degree in Law	At least 3 years experience in legal profession as Advocate, Attorney or Advocate in Bombay High Court or a Court subordinate thereto as on 01st September, 2023. (2) Service in Maharashtra in the post of Public Prosecutor shall be deemed to be judicial occupation.

• Proficiency in Marathi, that includes speaking, reading, writing, and translation from English to Marathi and vice versa, is imporant.
• A certificate demonstrating proficiency in the Marathi language is mandated during the interview, obtained from the authorized body.
• Applicants without Marathi language qualifications must clear the Marathi language test within six months.
• Proof of experience must be furnished during the interview, authenticated by the Chief District and Sessions Judge or Chief Judge of the district for advocates, and by the Head of Department or Office for service employees.

• Attorney or advocate - Chief District and Sessions Judge / Chief Justice of the concerned district.
• Fresh Law Graduate – Principal/Head of University Department or College where name is registered for Law Course (LL.B./LL.M.).
• High Court and Courts Subordinate to it, Departmental Staff, Ministry etc. - Head of Department / Head of Office under whose control the Service is. 
• By re-entry candidate, into service of retired Civil Judges (Junior Level) under special circumstances. 

Date of Calculation of Educational Qualification and Duration of Experience:-

1. Academic qualification shall be deemed to have been acquired on the date of declaration of the result of the relevant examination by the Statutory University. 
2. Educational and other qualifications acquired on the date of advertisement i.e. 01st September, 2023 as well as experience will be considered for qualification  and further selection.
