There are a total of three stages involved in the PCS J Exam of Maharashtra. i.e. prelims, mains, and interviews. All three stages of the exam are qualifying in nature. 

The paper pattern differs for each stage of the exam. Based on the marks scored in the prelims exam, you will get shortlisted for the next stage of the exam.

Maharashtra Judiciary Exam Pattern 2024 for Prelims

This is the first stage of the exam. The prelims exam will have a single-question paper and shall be objective in nature. The paper will have a  total of 100 MCQs for 100 marks, which means each question carries one mark.

Also, there is a negative in the prelims exam. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

The prelims exam will be conducted only in the English language. The time duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).

Maharashtra Judiciary Mains Exam Pattern 2024

Those who qualify in the prelims exam are eligible to appear for the mains examination and practise Judiciary Exams Question Papers.

In the main exam, there are two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers are descriptive in nature.

The exam will be conducted in both English and Marathi languages. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for those who want to give the Maharashtra Judiciary Exam in the Marathi language.

Both papers are conducted for 100 marks each. The time duration of the paper is 3 hours.

Maharashtra Judiciary Exam Pattern 2024 for Interview

You will qualify for the interview only if you score above the cut-off marks in the main examination. 

The interview is the last stage of the selection process. It is conducted for a total of 50 marks. 

In an interview, you will be tested on your character, personality, and suitability for the job. Also, you will be tested on general knowledge, including the acquaintance of current affairs and current issues.
