NATA 2021 Qualifying Marks

Though there is a minimum qualifying mark for the NATA exam, each college will have a separate category-wise Cut Off for admission into B.Arch courses.

Expected NATA Cut Off 2021

As we all know, the cut-off is dependent primarily on the difficulty level of the exam. Since there are a few changes in the pattern this year, it might be difficult to predict the cut-off for now.

We'll update the expected cut-off for NATA 2021 right after the exam gets over on 10 April 2021.

How to Check NATA Cut Off 2021?

Generally, the Cut Off will be released after the declaration of the NATA Result. Based on the qualifying marks, the merit list will be prepared. You can follow the steps mentioned below to check NATA Colleges Cut Off.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of NATA i.e. www.nata.in
  • Step 2: Click on the cut-off link.
  • Step 3: The cut-off for the participating institutes, courses, and category wise will be displayed on the screen in pdf format.
  • Step 4: Download the PDF and save it for future reference.

Factors Affecting NATA Cut Off

The following factors are considered for determining the cut-off of NATA 2021 for various colleges. 

  • The total number of applicants who appeared for the exam
  • Availability of seats
  • Total number of participating institutes
  • The difficulty level of the paper
  • Number of qualified students
  • Category of the applicant
  • Previous Year NATA Cut Off trends

NATA Cut Off: Normalization Process 

Normalization will be done on the basis of the NATA Result. It will be calculated by the Council of Architecture (COA) after the declaration of the result. You can normalize your NATA Score using the method mentioned below:

Your NATA score has to be divided by 2 and then add the board percentage (out of 100), then divide the aggregate by 2.

For Example: If you scored 120 in NATA and 80% in your board exams, then the normalized score will be 129/2 + 80 = 140

NATA Tie-Breaking Procedure

If you and other student have scored the same marks in NATA 2021, then the board will decide on whom to consider for admission based on the below-mentioned considerations;

  • The highest marks in mathematics will be taken into consideration.
  • If the tie still exists, aspirants having a less number of wrong answers in Mathematics will be taken into consideration.
  • In case, the tie is still on, the highest marks in the Aptitude Test will be taken into consideration.
  • If the tie still exists, those who have fewer wrong answers in the Aptitude Test will be taken into consideration.
  • Also, older age will be considered.

NATA 2021 Counselling

After the declaration of the result, NATA Counselling will be conducted at various institutes. There is no centralized process for NATA Counselling. CoA is not responsible for conducting the admission process for NATA.

There is a separate counselling process for each college that offers admissions through NATA Score. You have to participate in the counselling process with your NATA Scorecard organized by the respective colleges.

What is a good score in NATA?

The maximum NATA Score is 155+. So, around 120 or more will be considered as a good score in NATA Exam.

What are the pass marks for NATA?

One should secure 35% marks out of 120 in the Aptitude, Maths section and marks in the drawing section (out of 80). The passing marks for Nata exam is 70 marks.

How much percentage is required for NATA?

At least 40% marks are required to get admission in the NATA Colleges.

How to calculate NATA Cut off?

The  score secured by a candidate has to be divided by 2 and then add the board percentage (out of 100) and then divide the aggregate by 2. That will give you the Final Merit score.
