The National Institute of Design, Jorhat also known as NID Assam, is among the renowned design institute in India. Established in 2019, it is an autonomous entity within the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). NID Jorhat Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for admission to the institute differ depending on the programme. Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) or an equivalent qualification in general.  

The following are the eligibility criteria for the various courses offered by NID Jorhat:  

Bachelor's of design (B.Des.)  

  • Must have passed or sat in their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from any recognised board in India or overseas.  
  • Age restriction for general category candidates is 20 years, while for reserved category candidates, it is 23 years.  
  • Must have passed the DAT conducted by NID 

NID Jorhat Course Fees 

The course fee for NID Jorhat varies depending on the course and specialisation. An undergraduate course costs around INR 2.25 lakh per year on average.

Admission Process 

The admissions process at NID Jorhat has been rigorously planned in order to choose candidates who have a genuine interest in design and the potential to thrive in their chosen field.
