NID 2026 Application Form Eligibility Criteria
- Indian Nationals belonging to the general and EWS categories must have been born on or after 01 July 2003. In contrast, those belonging to SC/ST/OBC must have been conducted on 01 July 2000 to apply for the National Institute of Design entrance exam.
- Also, you must have completed your class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized university to complete the online application form for NID 2026. Only those who satisfy the NID Eligibility Criteria 2026 mentioned above are eligible to fill out the NID exam registration form.

- Visit the official website of NID.
- Click on the "New Registration" tab.
- Provide a valid mobile number, email ID, and Date of birth, and click the submit button.
- After registration, the exam conducting body will email login credentials to the registered email ID and mobile number.
- Re-login to the portal using the credentials received after registration.
- Fill out the NID registration form by entering all the details correctly.
- Upload all the necessary documents in the specified format.
- Pay the application fee either online or offline mode.

Photograph
- The photograph must be in colour with a white background and taken in a professional studio.
- Photographs with self-composed portraits will not be accepted.
- The digital version of your passport-sized photograph will be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, with a minimum size of 75 KB and a maximum size of 100 KB.
- Facial features should occupy about 80% of the area in the photograph, with a clear view of the whole face directly looking into the camera.
- The hair of the head, any cloth, or any shadow must not cover the main features of the face. The forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin should be visible.
- Spectacles with dark or tinted glasses are prohibited; only clear drinks are allowed.

Signature
- The signature must be in black only and written on a white background.
- Before uploading, you must scan the signature. Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not acceptable.
- The signature should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, and the size should be between 75 KB to100 KB.
