National Institute of Design will start the online registration process for the NID entrance exam 2023 tentatively in the first week of October 2022.

Indian Nationals belonging to the general and EWS category must have been born on or after 01 July 2003. In contrast, those belonging to SC/ST/OBC must have been born 01 July 2000 to apply for the National Institute of Design entrance exam.

Also, you must have completed your class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized university to fill out the online form. Only those who satisfy the NID Eligibility Criteria 2023 mentioned above are eligible to fill out the registration form.

Documents Required to Fill NID 2023 Application Form

If you aspire to apply for the NID 2023 Entrance Exam, you need to have the below-listed documents handy while filling out the online form.

Photograph

  • The photograph must be in color with a white background and must be taken in a professional studio.
  • Photographs with self-composed portraits will not be accepted.
  • The digital version of your passport-sized photograph will be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, with a minimum size of 75 KB and a maximum size of 100 KB.
  • Facial features should occupy about 80% of the area in the photograph, with a clear view of the whole face directly looking into the camera.
  • The main features of the face must not be covered by hair of the head, any cloth, or any shadow. The forehead, both eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin should be visible.
  • Spectacles with dark or tinted glasses are not permitted; only clear glasses are permitted.

Signature

  • The signature must be in black only and must be written against a white background.
  • Before uploading, you must scan the signature. Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not acceptable.
  • The signature is to be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, and the size should be between 75 KB to100 KB.

The National Institute of Design provides an opportunity to edit the NID Online Application Form. However, you are allowed to edit the application form within the window period. 

After the window period, you can not make any changes to the application form. Also, note that you will be allowed to make changes in specific fields only.

How to Retrieve Password for the NID Application Form 2023?

You can follow the simple steps mentioned below in case you forget your password while filling out the NID 2023 application form.

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on “Forgot Enrolment ID”. Then, provide a mobile number and e-mail ID. You will receive an enrolment ID via SMS/E-mail.
  • If you forget the password, click on “Forgot Enrolment ID or Password?”
  • Click on “Request for an OTP”.
  • Provide a mobile number, e-mail ID, and enrolment ID.
  • You can reset the password with the help of OTP received via SMS.
