The National Institute of Design started the online registration process for the NID entrance exam 2023 on 22 October 2022, with the late date of submitting the NID application form on 16 December 2022.

You can only fill out the registration form online from the official website. There are four steps involved in the application process: online registration, filling in details in the online form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee.

How to Apply Online for NID 2023?

Indian Nationals belonging to the general and EWS category must have been born on or after 01 July 2003. In contrast, those belonging to SC/ST/OBC must have been conducted on 01 July 2000 to apply for the National Institute of Design entrance exam.

Also, you must have completed your class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized university to fill out the online form. Only those who satisfy the NID Eligibility Criteria 2023 mentioned above are eligible to fill out the registration form.

Make sure to fill out the registration form in the stipulated time to avoid discrepancies at the last moment. You can follow the instructions below to fill out the online application form without errors.

  • Visit the official website of NID.
  • Click on the "New Registration" tab.
  • Provide a valid mobile number, email ID, and Date of birth, and click on the submit button.
  • After registration, the exam conducting body will send login credentials to the registered email ID and mobile number via email.
  • Re-login to the portal using the credentials received after registration.
  • Fill out the application form by entering all the details correctly. 
  • Upload all the necessary documents in the specified format.
  • Pay the application fee either online or offline mode.

Documents Required to Fill NID Application Form 2023

If you aspire to apply for the NID 2023 Entrance Exam, you must have the below-listed documents handy while filling out the online form. 

  • Passport size photograph

Specifications for Uploading Documents

Here is brief information about the specifications for uploading documents in the NID application form 2023. Also, check the critical points to remember while uploading the documents.

Photograph

  • The photograph must be in colour with a white background and taken in a professional studio.
  • Photographs with self-composed portraits will not be accepted.
  • The digital version of your passport-sized photograph will be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, with a minimum size of 75 KB and a maximum size of 100 KB.
  • Facial features should occupy about 80% of the area in the photograph, with a clear view of the whole face directly looking into the camera.
  • The main features of the face must not be covered by the hair of the head, any cloth, or any shadow. The forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, lips, and chin should be visible.
  • Spectacles with dark or tinted glasses are not permitted; only clear drinks are allowed.

Signature

  • The signature must be in black only and written on a white background.
  • Before uploading, you must scan the signature. Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not acceptable.
  • The signature is to be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format, and the size should be between 75 KB to100 KB.

NID Application Form Correction 2023

The National Institute of Design provides an opportunity to edit the NID Online Application Form. However, you can edit the application form within the window period. 

After the window period, you can not change the application form. Also, note that you can only make changes in specific fields.

How to Retrieve Password for the NID Application Form 2023?

  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on "Forgot Enrolment ID". Then, provide a mobile number and email ID. You will receive an enrolment ID via SMS/E-mail.
  • If you forget the password, click on "Forgot Enrolment ID or Password?"
  • Click on "Request for an OTP".
  • Provide a mobile number, email ID, and enrolment ID.
  • You can reset the password with the help of OTP received via SMS.
