Guidelines to fill AILET Application Form 2023

The National Law University Delhi conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) for admission to its B.A.LL.B.(Hons. ), LL.M., and Ph.D. programs. 

AILET application process is a one-time registration process. To avoid anomalies at the last minute, you must apply for the exam on or before the deadline.

This article will walk you through a list of essential guidelines to fill out AILET Application Form 2023.

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of National Law University, Delhi, i.e. nludelhi.ac.in.
  • On the Home page, click on the "Click here for AILET 2023 Admissions."
  • You will be redirected to the new login page, where you need to click on the click here to apply button.

  • The online window to register for the exam appears after clicking on the "Register button on the right corner of the official website.
  • Create a login id by providing the necessary details like name, mobile number, and email ID.
  • Click on the Submit button.
  • You will receive a User ID and password to your registered mobile number and E-mail.

Step 2: Select the Law Course

  • Re-login to the website using login credentials and click on the "Application Locker" present on the first page.
  • Here, you must select the course you want to apply for as there are different courses for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels.
  • Click on "National Law University" from the list of colleges.
  • Choose your application form and click on the "Apply" button.

Step 3: Fill out the AILET Application Form 2023

You need to fill in all the details correctly in the AILET online form to take the registration process a step further.

In the registration form, you need to provide personal details, education details, family details, etc.

Religion Need to select the Religious Affiliations 
Nationality Fill in the details as per your birth certificate
Category Need to select the category of reservation
Exam Centre Select the preferred exam center from the list of available cities
Communication Address Have to give the details of the permanent address for communication purposes
Details of Education Fill in all educational details like School/College, CGPA/Percentage, Year of Passing, Board/University, Stream in 12th standard
Details of Parents/Guardians Have to give the details like name, occupation, contact number, email id, income, etc.

Step 4: Upload Documents

The next step is to scan the photograph and signature and upload the pictures as per the designated guidelines.

Detailed specifications for uploading the photo and signature are given in the following table.

Photograph Up to 150KB GIF/JPG/BMP 75% of the photo must capture your face

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

The final step is paying the AILET 2023 Application Form fee. In the Application Locker, under the Pending Applications area, choose the form for which you wish to make payment and click on the Make Payment button.

You can pay the application fee either in online mode or offline mode.

Online Mode Payment

If you choose online payment, you can pay the application fee through a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Online Payment Gateway Transaction Details
Debit/Credit Card Details You have to provide details like Card Number, CVV Number, Expiry Date, and OTP Pin.
Net Banking You will be redirected to the bank’s payment site, and after giving the essential details, the payment will be confirmed. 

Offline Mode Payment

If you want to pay the AILET 2023 application fee offline mode, you have to select the "cash deposit at the post office" as the mode of payment.

  • Then, select the nearest post office branch and city and generate a challan through the AILET 2023 registration portal.
  • Download the challan and pay the fee in cash at the selected branch within 48 hours of generating the challan.
  • Once the fee is paid, the fee submission status will be updated within 72 hours in your account.
