10th Jaipur Literature festival begins
The 10th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is all set to begin tomorrow with Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, veteran lyricist Gulzar, American poet Anne Waldman and spiritual writer Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, inaugurating the five-day event.
● Touted to be world's largest free literary festival, this year JLF has been themed on "The Freedom to Dream: India at 70" and will see over 250 authors, thinkers, politicians and popular culture icons engaging in stimulating discussions and sessions at the historic Diggi Palace here.
● The opening session will see Sadhguru, Founder of Isha Foundation in conversation with Sanjoy Roy, the festival director, during which he will discuss his latest book "Inner Engineering - a Yogi's Guide to Joy".
● The bestselling book offers readers a "sophisticated" guide to self-empowerment and a means to create a framework of inner balance and well being, based on the science of yoga.
दसवें जयपुर साहित्य उत्सव (जेएलएफ) की शुरूआत जयपुर के डिग्गी पैलेस में जानेमाने गीतकार गुलजार की कविता से हुई.
● इस समारोह की मुख्य विषय है- द फ्रीडम टू ड्रीम इंडिया एट 70. वसुंधरा राजे ने कहा कि जयपुर साहित्य उत्सव की लोकप्रियता काफी तेजी से बढ़ी है तथा इसकी नकल में दूसरे उत्सव भी शुरू हुए हैं जो एक अच्छी बात है.
● मुख्यमंत्री ने डिजिटलीकरण की कई योजनाओं को भी सूचीबद्ध किया है जिसमें स्वास्थ्य बीमा और जल संरक्षण, बच्चियों के लिए शिक्षा इत्यादि शामिल है.
● साहित्य उत्सव में 250 विचारक, लेखक, नेता एवं लोकप्रिय सांस्कतिक हस्तियों के शामिल होने का कार्यक्रम है. इन पांच दिनों में साहित्य के साथ-साथ अर्थशास्त्र, सियासत, भाषा, अनुवाद, संस्कृति, सिनेमा, कला तथा प्रत्येक उस क्षेत्र पर बात होगी जो जीवन को प्रभावित करते है.
● डिग्गी पैलेस खुद अपनी वास्तु शैली से शिल्प की कविता कहता सा नजर आता है.
● जयपुर साहित्य उत्सव में न केवल पूर्व पश्चिम के साहित्य का समागम है बल्कि दक्षिण एशिया के देशों को जोड़ने का भी काम करता है. यह पिछले कई सालों से अदब के जरिये हिन्द-ओ-पाक के मिलन का मंच बनकर भी उभरा है.
