IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are not able to apply for the RRB Bank Exam 2020 if they do not meet the eligibility criteria. So, it was suggested for all candidates to go through the IBPS RRB Eligibility before applying for Office Assistant and Officer Grade posts.

Age Limit

Candidates aged between 18 to 40 years are able to apply for the post.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Nationality

A candidate must be an Indian/ a subject of Nepal/ Bhutan/a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India are eligible to apply for the exam.

Criteria To Fill The Details

As per the notification, there is a certain criterion to fill the IBPS Regional Rural Bank 2020 Application Form.

  • The first name entered should be maximum of 35 characters
  • Do not prefix zero while entering the mobile number
  • The Email-id should be a maximum of 60 characters
  • Candidates must note that the name entered in the application form should match exactly with the documents to be produced at the time of the examination and interview.

Prerequisites To Fill RRB Bank Exam Application Form

Before proceeding with filling the application candidates need to have few prerequisites which are listed below

  • An active mobile number, email id, and correspondence address.
  • Scanned copy of passport size photograph with size 4.5cm × 3.5cm
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s Signature,
  • Scanned copy of candidate’s Left Thumb Impression - If a candidate is not having left thumb, they may use their right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of left toe may be taken.The candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of the finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe if left thumb impression is not uploaded
  • Scanned copy of Hand Written Declaration by the candidate
  • Keep the Credit/Debit card or banking details ready to make the Application Fee payment.
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  • The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged
  • The text for the handwritten declaration is as follows – “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading Documents

Before filling the application form, candidates will be required to have a scanned image of photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned below.

Specifications for Photograph

  • The photograph must be a passport style coloured photo
  • Candidates must make sure the photo is in colour taken against a light-coloured, preferably white background
  • Moreover, the candidate must look straight to the camera with a relaxed face
  • Also, the student needs to use flash ensuring that there is no red-eye
  • In case the candidate wears glasses, make sure that there are no reflections and the eyes can be clearly seen
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses in the photo are not acceptable
  • Dimensions of the photo must be 200×300 pixels
  • The size of the file should be in between 20kb-50kb
  • The candidates should ensure that the size of the file is not more than 50kb

Specifications for Signature, Left-Thumb Impression, Hand-Written Declaration

  • The applicant should sign on a white paper with Black Ink pen
  • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink
  • The hand-written declaration should be on a white paper with black ink and it would be only in English
  • The signature left thumb impression, and hand-written declaration must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person
  • The applicant will get disqualified if the signature on the Call letter, signed at the time of the examination, does not match with the signature uploaded in the application form

How To Scan The Documents?

Candidates need to follow the instructions given below while scanning the documents for online registration.

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dots per inch
  • Make sure to set the colour as True colour
  • The file size should be as specified in the above
  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph or signature or left thumb impression or handwritten declaration, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size
  • Candidates must note that the image file should be either in JPG or JPEG format
  • With the help of MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager, candidates can easily obtain documents in .jpeg format

Procedure For Uploading Documents In IBPS RRB Apply Online Form

It is important for candidates to follow the instructions given below while uploading the documents in the RRB Bank Exam Application Form.

  • While filling the online form, candidates must make sure to fill the respective link to upload left thumb impression/ hand-written declaration
  • Browse and Select the file that has been saved on your computer
  • Select the file you need to upload by clicking on it

How to Fill the IBPS RRB Application Form?

The IBPS RRB Application process involves six steps: Registration, Uploading of Documents, Filling Details, previewing the application form, uploading other documents, Fee Payment, Confirmation.

Step 1: Entering Basic Details for Online Registration

  • Visit the official website: ibps.in
  • On the Home Page click on the appropriate option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBsOFFICERS (Scale-I, II and III)” or “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- RRBs- OFFICE ASSISTANT (Multipurpose)”
  • A login page will appear on the screen
  • Click on "Click here for New Registration"
  • Enter all the required details like Candidates Name, mobile number, Email-id, security code, etc
  • Click on Save & Next button
  • After submitting these details you will receive Provisional Registration ID and password to the registered mobile number and E-mail ID
  • Save these details which are required for future use.

Step 2: Uploading Photo & Signature

  • Now login to your account using the login credentials such as Provisional Registration ID and password
  • Click on the link to ‘Upload the Photograph’
  • Browse to the location where the Scanned Photograph has been saved
  • Select the Photograph
  • Click on the Upload button
  • Follow the same steps for uploading the signature and left thumb impression
  • Click on the Next button

Step 3: Entering Details (Personal, Academic and Communication)

  • There are different tabs on the page named Basic, Qualifications/Experience/Language, and Survey
  • Fill in all the required details under each tab.
  • Under the survey tab, mention the choice of organizations where you desire to be recruited and preview the details mentioned in the form
  • In this step, the candidate has to choose the exam centre as well. User can choose 3 Centers and the same will be added in order of preference (1st one is being the most preferred).
  • Click on 'I Agree' to declare the information you have entered is correct.
  • Click on Submit after entering all details.

Step 4: Preview The Application Form

Prior to the submission of IBPS RRB Apply Online form, candidates are advised to preview the application form by click on the " Back" button as there is no correction window.

  • Candidates can verify whether their name, father's name, etc are spelt correctly in the application form.
  • If there are any changes required in the application form, candidates can modify it before submitting the application form.
  • Make sure to check all the details entered in the online form are correct before clicking the "Final" submit button.
  • Aspirants must note that no change is permitted after clicking on the final submit button.

Step 5: Uploading Other Documents

Candidates need to upload a handwritten declaration and caste certificate (if any) after entering all the required details.

  • Ensure to upload a hand declaration and caste certificate as per the instruction provided in the notification.
  • The handwritten declaration has to be in candidates' handwriting and should be only in English.
  • The application will be considered as invalid if the declaration is in any other language.

Step 6: Payment of Application Fee

After uploading documents in the IBPS RRB 2020 Apply Online Form, candidates have to pay the application fee.

  • Candidates are allowed to pay the application fee only through online mode
  • Candidates can choose the payment option among Debit Card, Credit Card, IMPS, Net banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets
  • If you desire to pay the application fee by using Debit Card or credit card, enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV number. Then, an OTP is sent on the registered mobile number and you have to enter that to initiate the payment
  • Bank details like account number and password are required if you are paying the fee through net banking
  • If you are paying the RRB Application fee through Mobile Wallets/Cash Cards, enter the login details asked.
  • After entering all the required details, click on the “Pay” button.

Step 7: Confirmation

  • After the final submission and payment, a new page of IBPS RRB Online Application is displayed.
  • Enter the required details by following the instructions mentioned.
  • If the online transaction has not been successfully completed, candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the Application Fee.
  • An e-receipt is generated after the successful completion of the transaction. x
  • Print the e-receipt and final IBPS RRB Online Application Form displayed on the screen.

IBPS RRB Application Fee

The application fee of the IBPS RRB Registration Form varies as per the reservation category of the candidates. The application fee has to be paid before the last date. Candidates make sure to pay the IBPS RRB Apply Online Form fee from June 18-July 4, 2020. The application fee can be paid either in online mode or offline mode.

  • Candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC Category have to pay Rs.600 as application fee.
  • SC/ST/PWD candidates need to pay Rs.100 as application fee.

General Instructions for IBPS RRB Apply Online 2020

While filling the form, candidates need to follow certain instructions so that their candidature will not get rejected.

  • Candidates must make sure to fill all the details correctly as there is no change or modifications are allowed after final submission of the application form.
  • Before filling the application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the required IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria.
  • Application Fee can be paid only through online mode.
  • Ensure that uploaded documents such as photograph, signature, left thumb impression and the handwritten declaration are as per the specification given by the IBPS.
  • If a candidate is found not to fulfil the eligibility criteria or cannot produce the requisite documents, his candidature will get cancelled.
  • IBPS reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the Centre other than the one the candidate has opted for.
  • Candidates are advised to apply only for one post. If a candidate applies for more than one post in Officers’ cadre, then the application will get rejected.
  • Any request for change of date, time and venue for Online Examination and Interview will not be entertained by the exam conducting body.
  • As per the notification, online applications once registered will not be allowed to be withdrawn and the application fee once paid will not be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other examination.
  • All the candidates are required to follow the guidelines regarding Social Distancing Mode of Exam given in the notification.
  • Candidates are advised to read all the instructions mentioned in the notification carefully before proceeding to fill the online form.
  • Aspirants must note that application submitted through online does not mean that they fulfilled all the criteria specified in the IBPS RRB notification.
  • Applications will get rejected ay any point of time if found to be ineligible.
  • Candidates applying for the post of Officers Scale I, II and III will have to appear for the interview at their own expense. However, eligible outstation SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category candidates called for interview will be paid II class to & fro railway/ bus fare or actual expenses incurred.

Instruction for Photograph and Signature

Here is the instruction for uploading the image candidate's photograph and signature, check out the below points for the details-

Photograph Image

  • Photograph must be a recent passport-style color picture.
  • Make sure that the picture is in color, taken against a light-colored, preferably white, background.
    Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
  • If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
  • If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
  • If you wear glasses make sure that there are no rejections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
    Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
  • Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colors, etc., during the process of scanning.

Signature Image

  • Candidates have to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
  • The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
  • If the Applicant’s signature on the attendance sheet at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Call Letter, the applicant will be disqualified.
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
  • Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb.
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.

Identity Proof Submitted at the Time of Examination

  • The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/Aadhaar/ PAN Card/Driving Licence/Voter's Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested.
  • Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or College/ Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof.
  • The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if the identity of candidates is in doubt, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.

Action Against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct

  • Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
  • At the time of examination, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
    • impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person.
    • misbehaving in the examination hall
    • resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with any candidature for selection
  • The Bank would be analyzing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity.
  • On the basis of such an analysis, if it is found that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel the candidature.

Steps to Fill RBI Grade B Application Form 2019

  • Click on “Apply online for RBI Grade B 2019”
  • A new window opens called “Click Here for New Registration” to register themselves for the post.
  • Fill in basic personal details like Name, Address, Category, Email ID, date of birth, contact number and academic details.
  • After the registration process is complete, a new password is auto-generated.
  • Candidates can use the provisional password and registration sent via email and then change the password if needed.

Step 2 – Upload Photograph and Signature

  • Candidates need to upload your photograph and signature as per specification.
  • The Online Application of the candidates will not be registered unless the photograph, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as specified.
  • The photograph should be in a passport size image clicked with a light-colored background.
  • If flash is using while taking the picture, no red will be detected in the photograph.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable.
  • Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
  • The photograph should have a resolution of 200×230 px and should have a file size between 20kb – 50kb. The file should be in JPEG or JPG format.
  • Candidates have to sign on white paper in black color in a box of 2 cm x 5 cm.
  • The size of the scan copies not more than 50 kb.
  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).
  • The signature should have a resolution of 140 x 60 px and file size of 10kb-20kb.
  • The file should be in JPEG or JPG format.
  • If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.

Step 3 – Fill up education Qualification and other details

Have to fill the educational qualification and other details like nationality, state of domicile, or if you have appeared earlier for the exam.

Step 4 – Preview the application form

  • Before hitting the submit button, ensure all the details mentioned in the RBI Grade B Application Form are correct.
  • Assure that there are no spelling errors or factual errors in the name, educational qualification or any other details that you might have missed or entered wrongly without paying attention.
  • Save the form and modify the details if required.
