The basic eligibility criteria for admission to BHU through CUET are as follows:

• You must have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam.
• Must have scored 50% as the minimum aggregate in the 10+2  exam or equivalent exam.

BHU (Banaras Hindu University) Eligibility Criteria for CUET 2024

As said above, admissions to UG courses at Banaras Hindu University are solely based on your performance in the CUET entrance exam 2024.

What is the criteria for admission in BHU CUET?

• Required subjects in CUET: You must have opted for Section 1A - Language Test in Hindi or English and Section 3 - General Test for admission to BHU. 
• Qualification: You must have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have at least 50% aggregate marks in class 12.
• Age limit: Your age should be no more than 22 years as of 01 July 2024, which means you must have been born on or after 02 July 2001. The university prepares the merit list based on the combined score of section 1A and section 3.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Shastri (Hons)

Those who are seeking admission to Shastri (Hons) program at Banaras Hindu University must satisfy the following criteria:

• BHU subject combination for CUET: You must have chosen the Sanskrit subject from Section 2 in the CUET entrance exam.
• Qualification: You must have passed the Madhyama Examination of BHU/Madhyama/Uttar Madhyama/Upa Shastri/Intermediate or class 12 or equivalent exam with Sanskrit as a mandatory subject.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have secured 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
• Age limit: Your age should be below 22 years as of 01 July 2024. Those who have passed a one-year certificate course in Sanskrit at BHU after passing the 10+2 examination with 50% aggregate marks can also apply for the exam.

BHU CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for BA. LL.B (Hons)

Aspirants seeking admission to BA. LL.B. (Hons.) at Banaras Hindu University must appear for the CUET (UG) 2024 exam.

Required subjects in CUET: You must have opted for a Hindi or English language paper from Section 1A, a Legal Studies subject from Section 2, and a Section 3 General Aptitude test.

Qualification:

As per BHU criteria for CUET, you must have completed/are appearing in the following:

1. Class 12 or
2. Equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board (or)
3. Equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government. (or)
4. You must have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam from an equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country to issue a qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course.

Those who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/ post-graduation through the Open Universities System without any essential qualification for pursuing such studies shall not be eligible for admission to a 5-year BA. LL.B. (Hons.) at BHU.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Com (Hons)/B.Com (Hons) FMM

If you are interested in choosing B.Com (Hons)/B.Com (Hons) FMM at BHU, you must make sure to satisfy the below BHU eligibility criteria: 

• Required subjects in CUET: You must have appeared for Accountancy and Business Studies from Section 2 and the general aptitude test to be eligible for the admission process.
• Qualification: You must have completed class 12 or equivalent exam with Commerce/Economics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Finance/Financial Markets Management/Vocational Courses (related to commerce) as one of the mandatory subjects.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed the concerned subject.
• Age limit: Your age should not be more than 22 years as of 01 July 2024.

BHU CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Sc (Hons) Maths Group

If you are seeking admission to B.Sc (Hons) Maths Group at BHU, you must satisfy the following criteria.

• Required subjects in CUET: You must have chosen Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Section 2 in the NTA CUET exam.
• Qualification: Completed class 12 or equivalent exam with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects plus one optional subject from Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Geography.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have secured 50% aggregate marks in class 12 and have passed each of the three subjects mentioned above.
• Age limit: Your age should not exceed 22 years as of 01 July 2024.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Sc (Hons) Biology Group

You must satisfy the following CUET BHU eligibility criteria for admission to the (Hons) Biology Group.

• Required subjects in CUET: You must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Section 2 in the Common Universities Entrance Test.
• Qualification: You must have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects plus one optional subject from Biology, Geology, and Geography.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have scored 50% aggregate marks in class 12 and passed each of the above mentioned subjects.
• Age limit:  Your age should be no more than 22 years as of 01 July 2024, which means you must have been born on or after 02 July 2001.

BHU CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture

Required subjects in CUET: You must have appeared for any of the following three subject combinations from Section 2 in the CUET exam.

• Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (or)
• Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or)
• Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture

You are not eligible for the admission process at BHU if you do not opt for any of the subject combinations mentioned above.

• Qualification: Completed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Agriculture or Science (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology) or equivalent exam from the recognized university.
• Minimum qualifying marks: A minimum score of 50% is required in the qualifying examination.
• Age limit: Your minimum age should be above 16 years, and your maximum age below 25 years as of 01 July 2024, which means you should have been born on or after 02 July 1997 and on or before 02 July 2006.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Tech in Dairy Technology

Suppose you want to choose B.Tech in Dairy Technology at Banaras Hindu University, you must satisfy the following BHU eligibility criteria.

• Required subjects in CUET: You must have opted for Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics from Section 2 in the NTA CUET exam.
• Qualification: You should have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) (or) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English as a compulsory subject from the recognized university or board.
• Minimum qualifying marks: You must have secured 50% aggregate marks or equivalent GPA in class 12 to be eligible for admission.
• Age limit: You should be below 23 years as of 01 July 2024, which means you should have been born on or after 02 July 1999.

BHU CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for BFA

The entrance test for this program is a common test for all languages.

Candidates seeking BFA admission in BHU must appear for CUET (UG) 2024.

• Required subjects in CUET: You must opt for Section II: Fine Arts/Visual Arts for admission to BHU.
• Candidates who will not appear in Section II Fine Arts/Visual Arts will not be considered for admission to BHU.
• Minimum qualifying marks: Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• Age limit: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
• Criteria for preparation of Merit list: Score of Section II + 2. Practical Test: To be conducted at the University Level after the declaration of results by NTA.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.A. (Hons) Arts

Candidates seeking admission to B.A. (Hons) Arts in BHU must appear for CUET (UG) 2024.

The entrance test for this program is a common test for all languages.

Minimum qualifying marks: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Age limit: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).

Required subjects in CUET: You are required to opt for the following for admission to BHU:

• Section I A: Language Test - (English or Hindi)
• Section III: General Test

Note - Candidates who will not appear in Section I A Languages (English/Hindi) and Section III General Test will not be considered for admission to BHU.

Only such students who have offered Economics, Mathematics and Statistics as a subject combination in I to IV semesters will be allowed for B.A. (Hons.) in Economics.

Ten seats will be available at the Economic honours level for such students.

CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria 2024 for B.Voc in Catering Technology & Hotel Management

The entrance test for this program is a common test for all languages.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Voc in Catering Technology & Hotel Management in BHU must appear for CUET (UG) 2024.

• Required subjects in CUET: You must opt for Section I A: Language Test - (English or Hindi) and Section III: General Test for admission to BHU.
• Note - Candidates who will not appear in Section I A Languages (English/Hindi) and Section III General Test will not be considered for admission to BHU.
• Minimum qualifying marks: Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Age limit: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).

B.Voc in Retail & Logistics Management	Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.  AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
B.Voc in Hospitality & Tourism Management	Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.  AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
B.Voc (Fashion Technology & Apparel Designing)	Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.  AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
B.Voc (Modern Office Management)	Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.  AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
B.Voc in Food Processing & Management	Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.  AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
B.Voc in Medical Lab Technology	Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2024 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
