Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced that from the academic year 2022-23, admissions to various undergraduate programs at the university will be made through the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET).
Earlier, admissions to BHU were based on the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET). Those interested in applying for UG courses at BHU must satisfy specific criteria prescribed by the university.
The university offers various courses, and the eligibility criteria vary for each program. Hence, you must ensure to select the language, domain-specific subjects, and general test as per the respective program in the CUET entrance exam.
Note that National Testing Agency (NTA) will not hold any responsibility for selecting the subjects, opted program, or eligibility criteria/ conditions.

The CUET BHU Eligibility Criteria is categorized under four parameters as explained below:
You are not eligible for the admission process at BHU if you do not satisfy any one of the criteria mentioned above.

Aspirants seeking admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at Banaras Hindu University must have to appear for the CUET (UG) 2022 exam.
Required subjects in CUET: You must have opted for Hindi or English language paper from Section 1A, Legal Studies subject from Section 2, and Section 3 general aptitude test.
Qualification:
You must have completed/are appearing in class 12 or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government. (or)
You must have completed class 12 or an equivalent exam from an equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issuing of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course.
However, those who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post-graduation through the open Universities System directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies shall not be eligible for admission to a 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at BHU.
