The exam will have 95 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). These questions cover:

XAT Registration 2026: Steps To Follow

It is essential to be aware of the XAT 2026 registration and correction window details before submitting your application.

The XAT exam registration date starts from 10th July 2025. The last date for registration for the XAT exam is 5th December 2025. The stepwise process for filling out the XAT entrance exam registration form is given below:

• The XAT 2026 Registration Fee is  ₹2,200
• If you're applying for XLRI programs, an additional fee of ₹200 is applicable for each program you select.

Fees for Other Candidates:

• For Indian candidates applying for PGDM (GM) through GMAT/GRE: ₹2,500
• For NRI/Foreign/PIO/OCI candidates applying for one or more programs through GMAT: ₹5,000

XAT Registration Eligibility for Applying

Before applying for the XAT 2026 exam, candidates must review the eligibility criteria. 

• Indian Candidates: You can apply for the PGDM (GM) and XLRI-RBS Double Master’s Programme using your GMAT or GRE scores.
• NRI/Foreign/PIO/OCI Candidates: You can apply for any program using your GMAT score.

XAT Registration 2026: Instructions for Photograph

The instructions for the XAT Exam Registration for 2026 have been listed below:

• The photograph must be a recent passport-size colour picture.
• If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
• Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
• If you must use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
• If you wear glasses, ensure that no reflections are visible so that your eyes are clearly visible.
• Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed, but it must not cover the face.
• Ensure that the scanned image size is between 20 KB and 50 KB. If the file size exceeds 50KB, adjust the scanner settings, such as the DPI resolution and number of colours, during the scanning process.

Procedure for Uploading the Photograph:

• Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).
• Set Colour to True Colour.
• File Size as specified above.
• Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph or signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).

XAT Registration 2026: Instructions for Signature Image

The step-by-step instructions for XAT 2026 registration are listed below, along with key details like the XAT registration last date

• The applicant has to sign on white paper with a Black Ink pen.
• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by anyone else.
• The signature will be put on the admit card wherever necessary.
• The Applicant’s signature obtained on the admit card and attendance sheet at the time of the examination should match the uploaded signature. In case of a mismatch, the candidate may be disqualified.
• Ensure that the scanned image size is between 20KB and 50 50KB.

Procedure for Uploading the Signature:

• There will be two separate links for uploading a Photograph and a Signature.
• Click on the respective link "Upload Photograph / Signature".
• Browse & select the location where the Scanned Photo/ Signature file has been saved.
• Please select the file by clicking on it.
• Click on the "Upload" button.
