Chhattisgarh Judiciary 2023 - Exam Dates, Selection Procedure, Pattern, Vacancy & More

Under the restructuring of Madhya Pradesh, the State of Chhattisgarh came into existence on 1st November 2000. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission was formed under Act 315 of the Constitution of India on 23rd May 2001.

The Chhattisgarh Judicial Service Examination is conducted by the Chhattisgarh High Court for recruitment to the Civil Judge cadre every year. Every year lots of students apply for the post of civil judge.

The CGPSC State Services Exam has three stages: 

1. CGPSC Prelims Exam ( Online or offline)

There is two compulsory paper of objective type. The time allotted for the examination is 2 hours each, and paper one is made up of questions based on general topics.

Paper 2 is an aptitude test. Both papers have 2 hours and 100 questions for 200 marks.

2. CGPSC Mains Examination ( Written )

The main exam is made up of seven papers. The type of questions will be based on the conventional (short/medium/long) types.

All the papers will have a time duration of 3 hours and 200 marks each.

3. Interview/ Personality Test

The candidates will appear for the personality test, and they will be selected for the personality test based on marks scored in the Mains exam.

The personal interview test will be 150 marks. The final merit list of the applicants will be based on the total marks scored in the mains exam and personality test.

CGPSC members are appointed or removed by the governor of the state. Their term of service is six years, starting from their appointment date.

CGPSC Eligibility 2023

Certain eligibility criteria for the Chhattisgarh Civil Judge Exam despite the various relaxations being allowed too many categories of applicants.

  • The candidate must be 21 years of age or above and should not have completed 35 years as of the exact date mentioned in the official advertisement for that particular year.
  • Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University that the BCI approves.

Candidates must keep in mind that application forms will not be accepted other than online method by the commissioner for the CGPSC Judicial Services exam.

After filling up the application form, candidates need to pay the same as the application fee decided by the commissioner. The application form will be marked incomplete if the candidate fails to pay the application fee online.

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has announced an official notice stating 49 Civil Judge posts vacancies for Chhattisgarh Judiciary Exam. This recruitment is for entry-level.

Chhattisgarh Judiciary Cut off 

CGPSC will present the Chhattisgarh Civil Judge Recruitment cut off on its official website. The result is released in different phases.

At first, the result of the prelims is published, following the result of the mains exams. After posting the final year result, the last round is the interview round.

The results are published after the short-listing of candidates after each stage. The name of candidates whose name appears on the final selection list after the interview is appointed as Civil Judges (entry-level).

They must be subjected to fulfilment of all other eligibility criteria.
