The CGPSC State Services Exam has three stages:
1. CGPSC Prelims Exam (Online)
The time allotted for the examination is 2 hours, and the paper is made up of questions based on topics stated in the syllabus section. There will be 100 questions for 100 marks.
Update: Prelims exams for Chhattisgarh Judiciary Services have been finished, and as per results released on 11 May, 2023, a total of 521 candidates have been shortlisted for mains. The mains exams are scheduled to be on 13 June, 2023.
2. CGPSC Mains Examination ( Written )
The main exam will be of written type. The type of questions will be 100 marks and based on the conventional (short/medium/long) types. It will have a time duration of 3 hours.
3. Interview/ Viva-voce
The candidates will appear for the viva-voce, and they will be selected for this phase based on marks scored in the Mains exam.
The Viva-voce test will be 15 marks. The final merit list of the applicants will be based on the total marks scored in the mains exam and viva-voce.
CGPSC members are appointed or removed by the governor of the state. Their term of service is six years, starting from their appointment date.
