• Initially, a preliminary test acts as a screening test and is held to select candidates for the main examination. 
• After receiving the final answer key, the preliminary exam results are posted on the CGPSC website.
• The preliminary evaluation serves only as a test to screen candidates' abilities. 
• The preliminary examination is conducted in an offline manner and the candidates' only goal is to qualify the test.

• The candidate will be shortlisted for the main exam based on their performance in the preliminary exam round. 
• This round is the most important of the three rounds, contributing to the most marks in the final result.
• The CGPSC Civil Judge Mains Examnation does not consist of law questions and the candidate has to focus on judgment writing and the language papers.
• The CGPSC Civil Judge Mains Exam results are available at psc.cg.gov.in, the CGPSC's website.
• Only applicants who pass the main examinations can participate in the interview phase. 
• The number of candidates to clear the mains examination is usually three times the number of vacancies announced.
