The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 states that:

• After successfully completing the necessary credits after the 1st year, you can graduate with a certificate.
• At the 2nd year's end, you can graduate with a diploma if you complete the requisite credits.
• After successfully completing the necessary credits after the 3rd year, you can graduate with a bachelor's degree.
• After successfully completing the necessary credits after the 4th year, you can get a Bachelor's degree with honours or by research*.
• According to UGC/University regulations, you may pursue a bachelor's degree through research in your 4th year if you meet the minimum requirements.
• BTech programs are four years and do not have an exit policy.
