NMAT Selection Criteria – Written Ability test

  • The Written Ability Test (WAT) requires candidates to write an essay on a topic within a recommended word limit. This test assesses the candidate's writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • The essay is evaluated based on grammar, language usage, vocabulary, and clarity of thought.
  • It's essential to remember that not all business schools require the Written Ability Test (WAT). However, for those who do, it's crucial to ensure that the essay is:
    1. grammatically correct
    2. rich in vocabulary
    3. relevant facts and figures (preferred)

NMAT Selection Criteria – Group Discussion Round

  • In this round, 9-10 candidates are given a topic to discuss for a set duration.

  • The Personal Interview (PI) is similar to a group discussion, except that you will face a panel of three to four interviewers. This panel will consist of experienced individuals from NMAT-participating institutes and experts in specific subjects.
  • During the interview, they will evaluate various aspects of your personality, communication skills, confidence level, academics, and work experience (if any). Hence, being well-prepared for the interview and presenting yourself best is essential.
