Maulana Azad National Urdu University offers admission to 8 UG courses through the CUET exam. You must meet the MANUU CUET eligibility criteria to be admitted to the university. 

  • Urdu, as a subject/language or as a medium, at the 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as the medium of Instruction, approved by MANUU, is mandatory.

  • There's no relaxation for reserved categories in any course. 

MANUU CUET Eligibility Criteria 2027

You should appear for the NTA CUET Exam to get admission to undergraduate programs at MANUU.

  • You must ensure that you understand the eligibility criteria, qualifications, and other conditions, and fulfil the minimum required subjects for the particular program.
  • You must select the language, domain-specific subjects, and general test as per the respective program.
  • Also, note that NTA will not be responsible for selecting the subjects, the opted program, or the Maulana Azad National Urdu University CUET eligibility criteria/conditions.

The eligibility criteria vary for each program provided at Maulana Azad National Urdu University [MANUU]. Hence, knowing the required standards for the particular course you are applying for at the university is essential.

B.A. (Arts)

i. Urdu as a subject or as a Medium in 10th/10+2 level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction
ii. 10+2 or Equivalent from recognized Board / Institution/Madrasa with 40% marks in aggregate

B.A. (Hons) (Journalism and Mass Communication)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii. 10+2 or Equivalent from recognized Board / Institution/ Madrasa (refer to the list on university website/prospectus) with 40% marks in aggregate.

B.Com (Commerce)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii. 40% marks aggregate in Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board.

B.Sc.(Physical Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii. 10+2 or Equivalent from recognized board/institution with 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates should have studied Maths, Physics & Chemistry at 10+2 level.

B.Sc.(Physical Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii. 0+2 or Equivalent from recognized board/institution with 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates should have studied Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.

B.Sc.(Life Science, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)

i.Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii.10+2 or Equivalent from recognized board/institution with 40% marks in aggregate. Candidates should have studied Biology & Chemistry at 10+2.

B.Voc.(Medical Imaging Technology)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii.The candidates should have passed the two year Intermediate (10+2) with 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics
or Intermediate Vocation Education in MIT
or Equivalent Advanced Diploma in MIT as per NSQF guidelines.

B.Voc.(Medical Laboratory Technology)

i. Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as medium of Instruction approved by MANUU.
ii. The candidates should have passed the two-year Intermediate (10+2) with 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics
or Intermediate Vocational Education in MLT
or Equivalent Advanced Diploma in MLT as per NSQF guidelines.

Points to remember regarding MANUU CUET Eligibility Criteria:

For admission in all University programmes, you must have studied and passed Urdu as a subject/ language or as a Medium in 10th /10+2/ Graduation level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as a medium of Instruction 

Admission to Urdu-exempted candidates only for Departments of Hindi, English and Arabic shall be conditional subject to an undertaking that he/she will enrol and qualify for the Certificate Course in Urdu offered by the University, failing which degree shall not be awarded. 

The Madrasa where the medium of instruction is not Urdu shall not be considered for Urdu eligibility.
