Class 12 Business Studies Syllabus PDF Download (CBSE & ICSE) 2021-22

Business Studies is one of the mandatory subjects in class 12 commerce subjects. To help you understand the important topics and weightage, we have explained the Class 12 Business Studies Syllabus for both the CBSE and ICSE board.

CBSE Class 12 Business Studies Syllabus 2021-22

As the CBSE board has not yet released the new syllabus for 2021-22, we have provided previous year syllabus here. The syllabus of CBSE Class 12 Business Studies is divided into three parts: 

  • Part A: Principles and Functions Management
  • Part B: Business Finance and Marketing
  • Part C: Project Work

ICSE Class 12 Business Studies Weightage

  • The ICSE business Studies examination consists of 2 papers for a total of100 marks i.e. Paper I – Theory of 80 marks and Paper II – Project Work of 20 marks.
  • Paper I is of Theory (80 marks) comprises 2 parts i.e. Part 1 is of 20 marks and Part 2 is of 60 marks and the time allotted for this paper is 3 hours.
  • Paper-II is of Project work consists of 2 projects to be done. Each project consists of 10 marks. These project work 10 marks are allotted on the basis of – Overall format 1 mark, Content 4 marks, Findings 2 marks, and Viva-Voce based on project 3 marks.

Deleted Portion in Class 12 Business Studies Syllabus of CBSE & ICSE 2020-21

Due to unavoidable conditions, CBSE and ICSE had reduced the syllabus. Note that this reduction was only for the 2020-21 batch. The syllabus for the upcoming years shall remain the same as 2019-20 from next year.
