Exam Postponed

  • As per the recent announcement, the Bihar Judicial Services Exam has been postponed to December 06th 2020.
  • Previously the exam was scheduled on October 07th, but now due to circumstances, the exam is postponed. Check Official Notice

Application Process Extended

  • The application process has been extended until 12th September 2020. 
  • Candidates who were willing to apply can fill their form until the 12th. The last date for submitting the form is 12th September however, the last date to pay the fee is 5th September 2020.

Bihar Judiciary Exam 2020-21

BPSC had earlier released a recruitment notification for Judicial Service Recruitment on March 12, 2020. The eligible applicants were able to apply till June 15, 2020, for the exam. For the total number of Judiciary Vacancy released, candidates will be selected based on the performance in three stages Preliminary exam, Main exam, and finally an interview.

For prelims, candidates are asked questions from topics related to General Studies and Law, whereas for the Mains exam, students will have to answer questions from 5 subjects; General knowledge, General Science, General Hindi, General English, and Law of Procedure and Evidence. Post clearing Mains, qualified candidates shall appear for the Interview round and the selection will be made accordingly for the post of Civil Judge offered by BPSC. Bihar Judiciary Prelims Exam Pattern 2020

The Preliminary round of Bihar Judicial Services consists of two papers; Paper 1: General Studies and Paper 2: Law. 

Paper 1, i.e., General Studies consists of topics ranging from Current Affairs to Social Sciences. The students will have to be informed about the current happenings and affairs in India and around the globe. Paper 1 will be of 100 marks. For Paper 2, candidates must be thorough with the law in India and across the globe. The marks assigned to this paper are 150 marks.

Bihar Judiciary Mains Exam Pattern 2020

For Bihar Judicial Services Main Exams, candidates are asked questions from five subjects- General Knowledge with Current Affairs, Elementary General Science, General Hindi, General English, Law of Evidence, and Procedure. 

Candidates must note that the General Hindi and General English papers are qualifying in nature. They must obtain a minimum 30 marks in these papers to qualify the Mains exam. The marks of these two papers will not be considered for the final merit list.

For Mains Exam, applicants will be asked to choose 3 subjects out of the following five optional subjects:
