Prerequisites for West Bengal Judicial Services Application Form 2023

The West Bengal Public Service Commission recently released the WB Judicial Service Exam notification on 30 December 2022. Aspiring candidates interested in joining the judiciary must apply for the exam before the deadline, 31 January 2023. 

To apply for this exam, candidates must meet the following prerequisites set by the Commission:

  • An active e-mail ID
  • Phone Number
  • Signature
  • Category Certificate
  • Graduation Marks Sheet
  • Passport Size Photograph
  • Passing Certificate of the Graduation
  • ID Proof, i.e., Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter ID card, Passport, etc.

How to Fill Online West Bengal Judicial Services Application Form 2023 Correctly?

Follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the application form for the WBPCSJ:

  1. Visit the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission. 
  2. Click on the 'West Bengal Judicial Services Exam Application Form' link. 
  3. Read all the instructions carefully before filling out the application form. 
  4. Enter your details, such as full name, date of birth, address, contact information, etc. 
  5. Provide your educational qualifications, work experience, and other relevant information. 
  6. Upload the required documents, such as a passport-size photograph, scanned signature, and other relevant documents. 
  7. Specify your choice of exam center. 
  8. Enter the payment details and click on the 'Submit' button. 
  9. Review your filled application form and ensure all the information is correct. 
  10. Click on the 'Confirm' button to submit the application form. 
  11. Print a copy of the application form for future reference.

West Bengal Judicial Services Application Fee 2023

Refer to the following points about the application fee:

  • All candidates from unreserved categories must pay Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred ten only ) as an application fee. 
  • SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) having a physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. 
  • OBC candidates are, however, required to pay the usual fee. 
  • No fee exemption is available to SC & ST candidates of other states. 
  • No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained, nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.

Documents to be Uploaded in WBPCS J Registration Form 2023

Candidates are required to submit the following documents:

A candidate claiming to be SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (40% and above) must have a certificate in support of their claim from a competent authority of West Bengal issued on or before the closing date of submission of application as specified below :

(a) For S.C., S.T. & O.B.C. (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates:-

  1. i) In the district, the Sub-Divisional Officer of the Sub-Division concerned, and 
  2. ii) In Kolkata, the District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas or such Additional District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas, as may be authorised by the District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas, on this behalf and the District Welfare Officer, Kolkata and Ex-officio Joint Director, Backward Classes Welfare. 

(iii) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit their renewed/revalidated OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates before the interview and at the time of appointment. 

(b) For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):- 

(i) A Medical Board constituted at Government Medical College Hospitals in Kolkata, District Hospitals and Sub-divisional Hospitals.

(ii) Certificate regarding Physical Limitation in an Examinee to write (Required for only those candidates who opt for Scribe and/Compensatory Time).
