Before you jump into the LSAT admission process, let's spend a few minutes to know what’s LSAT India. LSAT is a standardised test designed to evaluate Law Aspirants based on advanced reading skills, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills. 

The LSAT India makes you eligible for enrolling in the UG & PG program in the law domain (LLB/LLM). However, the selection is done on a merit basis. In India, there are a total of 85 Law Colleges that accept the LSAT score.

What is the LSAT India Admission Process?

The LSAT India ascertains high-level reading, informal reasoning, and deductive reasoning abilities. These accumulated critical thinking skills are required for success in law school and the legal industry. The LSAT—India was designed exclusively for use by law schools in India.

Analytical Reasoning

The analytical reasoning test aims to determine your deductive reasoning abilities by asking you to derive what could or must be the prevailing view in a given scenario based on certain rules and circumstances.

Logical Reasoning

Questions based on logical reasoning are intended to assess your capacity to comprehend, analyse, critique, and complete a wider range of assertions enclosed in brief excerpts.

Reading Comprehension

Reading Understanding Segment questions assess your ability to interpret illustrations of lengthy and intricate materials, such as those found in law schools, with clarity and understanding.

How to Fill Online LSAT India Admission Form?

The Entire Application process involves a few steps you need to know before filling out the form. It will prevent mistakes and guide you through the process correctly. 

Registration: Visit the official website. Start by clicking on the Application link on your screen. Proceed by adding your name, contact details (Number and mail), and your Pincode. This process will sign you up with the institution. 

Form fill-up: This step requires you to enlist your data, communication details, course choice (8 options allowed), colleges to which you want to apply, and exam centres. It should be noted that you can choose a maximum of 3 centres, enlisting them in a sequence of your preference. 

Documents upload: Documents carrying Academic Qualification details alongside your photo and signature should be uploaded according to the details mentioned on the form. 

Payment: you need to pay the fees according to the charges applicable to you. (Changes differ for NRI and Indian Students) 

Post submission, keep a copy of your receipt alongside your Id and password written on it. It will assist in future reference. (For instance: to rectify the Application form or to check and download your Admit card etc.)

Note: make sure you submit one form per candidate and no more than that. In case of duplicate or multiple form submissions from the same candidate, your Application will be subjected to rejection.

  • Every examination form requires you to pay a predetermined amount. Although those amounts may vary depending on factors like reservation and quota. 
  • Yet you need to know about the amount payable so that you can arrange it before you proceed with the application process.

Details Asked while Filling LSAT India Admission Process

Name Mention your full name according to your government-issued documents 
Date of Birth  List the date of Birth as it is in your Senior Secondary (Class 10th) Documents. 
Gender  Mention your Gender Male/Female/Others 
Mobile number  Fill in your 10-digit contact number to receive updates. 
Address  Mention your residential details with no mistakes. 
Nationality  List down your nationality: Indian for domestic and NRI for non-Indian candidates. 
Pincode  Include the 6 digit pin code of your area ( it will help in shortlisting the exam centre preference) 
State  List your State 
District  List down your city (you will get the closest exam centre location possible) 
Town/City List the name of your city correctly.

LSAT India Scholarships 

  • Scholarships of LSAT India are one of the best parts of this whole LSAT India Admission Process. 
  • LSAT offers 2 scholarships as of now, and each one has certain eligibility criteria, and terms and conditions, are attached. 

Let’s see the details for each one of them.

Topper's Scholarship (UG & PG)

  • If you have achieved the highest score in LSAT India (topper), then you are eligible for this Scholarship. 
  • For UG, 50 Scholarships are distributed between the foot topper to the 50th rank bearers of LSAT India. 
  • Candidates who acquire 1st position get INR 2,00,000 followed by 2nd & 3rd receiving 1 lakh each. 
  • Candidates with 4th and 5th positions are eligible to receive INR 50,000. 
  • Students with ranks 6th to 25th will receive 25,000 each, and the candidates up to the 50th rank will be eligible for INR 15,000.

For the Postgraduate Programme

  • Three grants are available for PG-level law students. 
  • The top goalscorer will receive INR 2 lakh, followed by the second and third highest scorers, who will each receive INR 1 lakh.

Note: These amounts will be paid directly to the colleges as tuition and library fees. Also, you need not submit a separate form for the same. They will award it based on the merit list prepared by LSAT India for Topper's Scholarship. For the Shamnad Basheer Justice Scholarship, you have to submit an Essay separately on the official mail of LSAT India

Shamnad Basheer Justice Scholarship 

  • This scholarship is awarded through an essay writing competition among law school students. 
  • It also has three segments, with the laureate receiving INR 2 lakhs and the first and second runner-ups receiving INR 1 lakh each.
  • Also, this award is given as a cash prize, unlike the topper's scholarship.
