What is Judiciary Exam?

Judiciary Exam is also known as the Provincial Civil Service-Judicial Exam is the entry-level test conducted for graduates in law. The Judiciary exams are conducted by the state judicial authority to hire aspirants for subordinate administrative services.

  • There are three stages included in Judiciary Exam which include Prelims, Mains, and Interview. 
  • After clearing the exam, there are several job profiles available namely- Magistrate, District, and Sessions Judge, Solicitors, Public Prosecutors, Attorney General, Advocate General, Notary, etc.
Factors Exam Type Qualifying Marks For General & SC/ST Categories Evaluation Criteria
Prelims Exam Consists of Objective Type Questions; Acts as a screening test for the Mains exam. It comprises a subjective type-exam that comprises three to four papers. Evaluate based on- General Knowledge; Personality; Aptitude
Mains Exam The minimum qualifying marks will differ based on the State. The minimum qualifying marks will differ based on the State. Maximum Marks- 50; Minimum Marks- 20
Viva-Voce/ Personal Interview The marks will not consider in the final score The marks of the main exam will be considered for the final selection Final Selection will be made based on it.
