IIT Bombay Announces UCEED 2024 1 Round Seat Allotment: Check List here

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has officially announced the first phase of seat allotment for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED 2024).

Candidates who took part in the first round of counselling can now check their seat allotment status for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program on the official UCEED website. 

The much-anticipated list, which details the preliminary seat allotment of UCEED 2024 exam for eligible candidates, became public on April 10, 2024, and is available at uceed.iitb.ac.in.

Along with the release of the seat allotment list, IIT Bombay officially opened the payment site, which allows candidates to secure their allotted seats by paying the seat acceptance fee.

UCEED Seat Acceptance Fee Details 

The following table shows the seat acceptance fees prescribed by IIT Bombay for several categories:

GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL	₹55,000
SC/ST/PwD	₹10,000

Candidates can either freeze their allocated seat, signifying acceptance, or float, enabling them to assess future rounds of seat allotment before making a final choice.

Candidates who want to view their seat allotment for UCEED 2024 should follow these simple steps:    

• Visit the official UCEED 2024 website at uceed.iitb.ac.in. 
• Click on the link titled "UCEED 2024 Round 1 Seat Allotment List" on the homepage. 
• A PDF file will then appear, displaying the seat allotment list. 
• Download or take a screenshot of the list for future reference. 

It is recommended that candidates downlaod or take a snapshot of their allotment for documentation purposes. After verifying their allotment, candidates should pay the seat acceptance fee using the link provided on the UCEED website.

UCEED Counselling Important Dates and Next Steps 

• Seat Acceptance Fee Payment: Deadline is April 18, 2024, until 6:00 PM. 
• Seat Withdrawal Option: Available until April 19, 2024, up to 6:00 PM.
