NITI Aayog Launches First Ever Agricultural Marketing and Farm Friendly Reforms Index
The low levels of productivity, growth and incomes are ailing the farm sector in India.
● Addressing the issue, NITI Aayog has identified three key areas for reform.
● The areas identified for immediate reforms are: Agricultural market reforms, Land lease reforms, Reforms related to forestry on private land – felling and transit of trees.
● Three crucial reforms pertaining to marketing in agriculture have been recommended by NITI Aayog.
● First is the immediate need to amend existing regulations in order to liberalize markets.
● The second area of reforms included in the index is relaxation in restrictions related to lease in and lease out agricultural land and change in law to recognise tenant and safeguard land owners liberalisation.
● The third area included in the index represent freedom given to farmers for felling and transit of trees grown on private land.

● इस मुद्दे को संबोधित करते हुए नीति आयोग ने सुधार के लिए तीन प्रमुख क्षेत्रों की पहचान की है।
● क्षेत्रों जो तत्काल सुधारों के लिए पहचाने जाते हैं: कृषि बाजार में सुधार, भूमि पट्टा सुधारों पर निजी भूमि वानिकी से संबंधित सुधार, कटाई और पेड़ों के पारगमन।
● तीन महत्वपूर्ण कृषि के क्षेत्र में विपणन से संबंधित सुधारों नीति आयोग द्वारा सिफारिश की गई है।
● पहले तत्काल आदेश के अनुसार बाजारों को उदार बनाने में मौजूदा नियमों में संशोधन करने की जरूरत है।
● सूचकांक में शामिल सुधारों के दूसरे क्षेत्र में पट्टा और कृषि भूमि लीज पर और किरायेदार को देने तथा रक्षा भूमि मालिकों के उदारीकरण के लिए कानून में परिवर्तन से संबंधित प्रस्ताव है।
● तीसरा क्षेत्र सूचकांक कटाई और निजी भूमि पर उगाया पेड़ के पारगमन के लिए किसानों को दी गई स्वतंत्रता के प्रतिनिधित्व के मामले से जुड़ा है।
