Mumbai among 15 global cities in terms of total wealth held
India's financial hub Mumbai has been named among top 15 cities globally in terms of total wealth held, while London topped the list.
● According to New World Wealth, the wealthiest cities in the world are London with USD 2.7 trillion of total wealth.
● New York City (USD 2.6 trillion) and Tokyo (USD 2.2 trillion) in the second and third place respectively.
● Mumbai featured on the 14th place in the list with a total wealth held in the city worth USD 820 billion.
● Home to 45,000 millionaires and 28 billionaires, Mumbai is the economic hub of India. It is also home to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
● Others in the list include San Francisco Bay area at the fourth place with a total wealth of USD 1.9 trillion; Beijing (5th, USD 1.8 trillion); Shanghai (6th, USD 1.6 trillion).
● Other countries are Sydney, Toronto, Frankfurt, Paris.
● 'Total wealth' refers to the private wealth held by all individuals in a country.

भारत की आर्थिक राजधानी मुंबई कुल संपत्ति के आधार पर दुनिया के 15 शीर्ष शहरों में शामिल है लंदन इस सूची में प्रथम स्थान पर है.
● न्यू वर्ल्ड वेल्थ नामक एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार लंदन में कुल 2,700 अरब डॉलर की संपत्ति है. इसके साथ वह सूची में प्रथम स्थान पर है.
● न्यूयॉर्क शहर 2,600 अरब डॉलर की संपत्ति के साथ दूसरे और टोक्यो 2,200 अरब डॉलर की संपत्ति के साथ तीसरे स्थान पर है.
● मुंबई इस सूची में 14वें स्थान पर है.मुंबई वासियों के पास 820 अरब डॉलर की संपत्ति है.
● रिपोर्ट के अनुसार 45,000 करोड़पतियों, 28 अरबपतियों के साथ-साथ मुंबई में बंबई शेयर बाजार भी है और यह देश की आर्थिक राजधानी भी है.
● इन 15 शहरों में सॉन फ्रांसिस्को समुद्री क्षेत्र 1,900 अरब डॉलर की संपत्ति के साथ चौथे स्थान पर रहा.
● बीजिंग 1800 अरब डॉलर के साथ पांचवे, शंघाई 1600 अरब डॉलर के साथ छठे स्थान पर रहा.
● अन्य शहरों में लॉस एंजिलिस, हांगकांग, सिंगापुर, शिकागो, टोरंटो, फ्रैंकफर्ट और पेरिस भी शामिल हैं.
