Maharashtra Government has signed MoU with Airports Authority of India
The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, Maharashtra Government and Airports Authority of India (AAI) on 23 August 2016 signed a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for successful launch of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).
• The 10 airports that will be developed are- Kolhapur, Shirdi, Amravati, Gondia, Nashik, Jalgaon, Nanded, Solapur, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg will be developed.
• The state will contribute 20 percent cost of Viability Gap Funding, whereas the centre will bear the remaining 80 percent cost.
• The state government will reduce the Local Body Tax (LBT) on air fuel from existing 10 percent to 1 percent for a period of 10 years.
• Moreover, the government will provide essential land free of cost.
• These airports will be provided with roads, rail, Metro and waterway connectivity.
• The state government will also provide electricity, water and necessary facilities at concessional rates.

केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय और 10 हवाई अड्डों का विकास करने के लिए एक ।
महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय और भारतीय विमानपत्तन (एएआई) के साथ 10 हवाई अड्डों का विकास करने के लिए एक मेमोरेंडम पर हस्ताक्षर किये।
• ये 10 हवाई अड्डे है कोल्हापुर, शिरडी , अमरावती, गोंदिया , नासिक , जलगांव , नांदेड़ , सोलापुर , रत्नागिरी और सिंधुदुर्ग जिन्हें विकसित किया जाएगा।
• राज्य, वायबिलिटी गैप फंडिंग में 20 प्रतिशत लागत का योगदान देगा जबकि केंद्र शेष 80 प्रतिशत लागत वहन करेंगे।
• राज्य सरकार ने 10 साल की अवधि के लिए 10 प्रतिशत स्थानीय निकाय कर (एलबीटी) को 1 प्रतिशत करने के लिए आवेदन किया है ।
• इसके अलावा, सरकार आवश्यक लागत का नि: शुल्क भूमि उपलब्ध कराएगा।
• ये हवाई अड्डों , सड़कों, रेल , मेट्रो और जलमार्ग कनेक्टिविटी के साथ उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा।
• राज्य सरकार रियायती दरों पर बिजली, पानी और आवश्यक सुविधाएं प्रदान करेगा।
