Indian Railways Extends the facility of 10% rebate in Basic Fare on Vacant Berth/Seats after Preparation of First Chart
In continuation with its earlier announcement of providing 10% rebate in the basic fare on the vacant berths/seats after preparation of first chart in Rajdhani/Duronto/Shatabdi trains.
● Indian Railways has decided to extend this rebate in the reserved class of all other trains w.e.f. 01.01.2017 on an experimental basis for six months.
● The detailed provisions are as under
● 1.1. 10% rebate shall be applicable on the base fare of last ticket sold for a particular class and train just before preparation of first chart.
● 1.2. Reservation fee and superfast charge as applicable shall be levied in full & service tax etc. as applicable shall be levied.
● 1.3. 10% discount shall also be applicable for allotment of vacant berths (due to non-turned up passengers) in the train by TTEs.

राजधानी/दुरंतो/शताब्दी गाड़ियों में प्रथम चार्ट तैयार होने के बाद खाली बर्थों/सीटों पर बेसिक किराए में 10% छूट प्रदान करने की अपनी घोषणा को जारी रखते हुए, भारतीय रेल ने अन्य सभी रेलों के आरक्षित वर्ग में भी इस छूट के विस्तार का फैसला किया है।
● यह सुविधा प्रायोगिक आधार पर 01.01.2017 से छह महीने के लिए प्रभावी होगी।
● विस्तृत प्रावधान इस प्रकार हैं :
● 1.1 प्रथम चार्ट तैयार होने से पहले एक विशेष श्रेणी और रेल के लिए बिक्री किए गए अंतिम टिकट के मूल किराए पर 10% की छूट लागू होगी।
● 1.2 आरक्षण शुल्क और सुपरफास्ट प्रभार पूरी तरह से लगाया जाएगा और प्रयोज्य सेवा कर इत्यादि भी लागू होगा।
● 1.3 टीटीई के द्वारा रेल में (यात्रियों के ना आने के कारण) खाली हुई बर्थों के आवंटन पर भी 10% छूट लागू होगी ।
