Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia and Michelle Li of Canada won the men's and women’s singles title of the Canada Open Badminton tournament respectively. In the finals played at Calgary, Wei defeated Ng Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong 21-17, 21-13 and Li defeated Kaori Imabeppu of Japan 21-17 25-23.
