11th February as International Day Women and Girls in Science by the United Nations General Assembly.

 Reason: To highlight female accomplishment, level with access and interest in the science field.

On December 22^nd 2015, the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly received an earth shattering determination to set up a yearly International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Theme : Transforming the World: Parity in Science.
