The CLAT PG 2026 paper was structured across five core sections. You can check the CLAT PG 2026 exam analysis below.

Here are a few important points to note from this CLAT PG question paper analysis:  

• Constitutional Law was one of the most difficult sections. Multiple questions required identifying the correct constitutional doctrine within a scenario rather than recalling a straightforward provision. 
• Passage length increased time pressure. Several Legal Reasoning and English passages ran longer than in previous cycles, making reading speed a bigger scoring factor than in CLAT PG previous year papers. 
• Quantitative Techniques remained the easiest, most scorable section. A good place to secure near-full marks quickly and bank extra time for the reasoning sections. 
• Current Affairs leaned legally. Generic news awareness wasn't enough; questions rewarded candidates who specifically tracked recent judgments, amendments, and policy changes.

Simply downloading the CLAT PG 2026 question paper and randomly solving it is not enough. Here's how to make the best use of it for your prep.  

• Attempt it like a mock test: Solve all 120 questions in exactly 2 hours to simulate real exam pressure. 
• Apply the actual marking scheme: Deduct 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, so your practice score reflects a realistic outcome. 
• Review section-wise accuracy, not just your overall score: A high overall score built on weak Legal Reasoning accuracy is a warning sign, since that section carries the most weight. 
• Cross-check with the official answer key: Identify pattern-level mistakes (e.g., consistently misreading long passages) rather than one-off errors. 
• Track question types: Pay attention to principle-and-fact (rule-application) questions in Legal and Logical Reasoning. These repeat in structure every year even when the facts change. 
• Revisit weak areas: Note down which topics, questions, or current affairs you missed, then building a focused revision list around those themes.

• Spending too long on Legal Reasoning passages. These carry the most weight, but over-investing time here often means rushing (and losing marks) elsewhere. 
• Guessing blindly on principle-and-fact questions. Since wrong answers cost 0.25 marks, random guessing rule-application questions is a common source of avoidable score loss. 
• Ignoring current affairs from law and policy specifically. General current affairs prep often misses legal-specific developments (judgments, amendments, legal news) that CLAT PG weighs more heavily than a typical GK exam. 
• Not simulating exam-day time pressure. Solving the paper section-by-section, untimed, gives an inflated sense of readiness compared to a full 120-minute timed attempt. 
• Not cross-checking answers from the answer key. Many candidates review only their score, not why specific answers were wrong, which is where the actual preparation value lies.
