The Uttarakhand Judiciary Civil Judge merit list 2023 will be released at the official website of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.

Uttarakhand Judiciary Civil Judge Selection Process 2023

According to the Uttarakhand Judiciary Exam Pattern, the selection process comprises three stages, i.e. Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination, and Personal Interview Round.

The marks obtained in all three stages are considered for the final selection. All three phases of the exam are qualifying in nature.

Preliminary Examination

To shortlist the candidates, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission conducts an objective test of 200 questions.

These 200 questions are of 1 marks each and candidates will get 3 hours to attempt it. These 200 marks are further divided into two parts, i.e. Part I is 50 marks, and Part II is of 150 marks.

  • The preliminary examination comprises 200 objective-type questions.
  • As per the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission selection process, candidates scoring marks more than 60% are eligible to give the Mains exam.

Mains Examination

The candidates who qualified in the Preliminary Examination can apply for this main exam. The Mains exam comprises five papers of 850 marks, and candidates will get 3 hours to attempt all five papers.

  • The Mains examination comprises both subjective and objective type question exams.
  • The Mains examination consists of 5 papers, i.e. the first is on the present day, the second is on language, the third is on Substantive Law, the fourth is on Evidence & Procedure, and the fifth is on Revenue and Criminal.
  • The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission will also conduct a practical examination of computer knowledge after these 5 papers.
  • Asfivefivefiveper the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission selection process, candidates scoring marks more than or equal to 60% are shortlisted for the Personal Interview Round.

Personal Interview Round

The candidates in the general category must secure more than 60% of marks, and candid dates in the SC/ST category must score more than 50% of marks in both Prelims and Mains to be eligible for the personal interview round.

  • The personal interview round contains a total of 100 marks.
  • The final selection of the candidate is based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Mains examination and interview round.
