The SSC CHSL 2020 Selection Process will be segregated into three stages and let's go through the three stages in detail below. The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC's Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam(CHSL) for the posts of Data Entry Operator(DEO), Postal Assistant(PA), Junior Secretariat Assistant(JSA), Lower Division Clerk(LDC). SSC CHSL Selection Process 2020 for Tier 1

The SSC CHSL 2020 Selection Process for Tier 1 is a Computer Based Exam.

  • The candidates who clear the Tier 1  will only be allowed to sit for the Tier 2 Test.

SSC CHSL Selection Process Tier 2

Tier 2 will consist of the Descriptive Test which will have Essay Writing and Letter Writing in the paper. Go through the points below to know the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Selection Process-

Tier 3 is qualifying in nature. You should keep in mind the following points regarding the Tier 3 selection process.

Skill Test(Data Entry Operator) a sheet containing 2000-2200 strokes would be offered The candidates are required to enter it on a  computer at a speed of 8,000 key depressions an hour. 
  • Marks received in this Tier will not feature in the final marks.
  • Tier 3 Exam is a Typing Test/Skill Test.
  • All the candidates who cleared the Tier 2 Test and applying for the post of Data Entry Operator are required to take the Skill Test.
  • And the candidates who applied for the LDC/JSA and Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant are required to take the typing test.

SSC CHSL DEO Selection Process 2020

The SSC CHSL 2020 Selection Process for DEO includes Skill Test basically for Data Entry Operators. Let's read the points below to know more-

  • Data Entry Speed of 8000 Key Depression per hour on the computer.
  • All the candidates who are allowed to take the test should qualify as per the prescribed speed on the computer provided by the agency authorized by the commission or the commission itself.
  • Only the candidates who can type at data entry speed of 8000 key Depression per hour will only be eligible for an appointment as per their position in the merit list.

The SSC CHSL Selection Process for  LDC/JSA/PA/SA includes Typing Tests basically.

  • Candidates who clear the first two Tiers of the exam only will be allowed to sit for the Typing Test.
  • Typing Test is conducted in Hindi or English Language and computers will be provided for that.
  • It will be administered by the Commission or agency administered by the Commission.
  • Speed and accuracy will be checked in aTest Passage written in a time slot of 10 min.35 w.p.m will correspond to 10500 key Depressions and 30 w.p.m will correspond to 9000 key Depressions per hour respectfully.

ResolveTie Cases in SSC CHSL Exam Selection Process 2020

In the case of Tie Cases, the following points will be applicable to resolve the ties in the sequence given below-

  • Firstly, the total Marks of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exam will be counted
  • Secondly, the total Marks obtained in Tier 2 Exam will be taken into notice
  • Thirdly, total Marks obtained in Tier 1 Exam will be taken in to notice
  • Fourthly, the age factor will play a role. Older Candidates placed higher along with Date of Birth
  • Lastly, First Names of the candidates in an Alphabetical Order will be considered

Documents Verification in SSC CHSL Exam Selection Process 2020

All the candidates who qualify the exam are required to submit the Original Documents for verification. This is an important stage as if the candidates fail to submit the documents on time for verification, their candidature might be canceled.
