Overview: The Haryana Public Service Commission, Panchkula (HPSC), has released a notification for filling the vacant posts of Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in the Haryana Prosecution Department.

Eligible / Interested candidates can apply online from 13.08.2025 to 02.09.2025 (up to 5:00 P.M.) using the link given below.

Haryana ADA Eligibility Criteria 2025

Bachelor's Degree in Law + Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council.

Haryana ADA Age limit

Age Limit (21 to 42 years as on 02.09.2025):

  1. For General / EWS: Born not earlier than 03.09.1983 and not later than 02.09.2004. (both dates inclusive)
  2. For SC / BC: Born not earlier than 03.09.1978 and not later than 02.09.2004. (both dates inclusive)

Haryana ADA Application fee

Fees: Rs. 1000/- for General / EWS candidates, Rs. 250/- for SC/OBC/EWS/ESM /Female candidates, and there is no fee for PwD candidates.

Fees should be paid online via Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.

Haryana ADA Exam Pattern And Selection Process

The Selection for the post of Assistant District Attorney in HPSC Recruitment 2025 will be based on the criteria given below:

  1. Screening Test
  2. Subject Knowledge Test
  3. Interview / Viva-Voce
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

Haryana ADA Screening Test Exam Pattern 2025

  1. Total MCQs: 100
  2. Total Marks: 100
  3. Time duration of the exam: 02 hours
  4. All questions carry equal marks.
  5. Each question will have five options. The fifth option will be meant for a situation where a candidate intends to leave the question un-attempted.
  6. One-fourth mark will be deducted lor each wrong answer.
  7. In case, a candidate neither attempts a question nor darkens the fifth option/bubble, then One- fourth mark will be deducted for each such question.
  8. The question paper will be in English and Hindi.
  9. A candidate will have to secure a minimum of 25% marks to clear the screening test.
  10. Candidates four times the number of advertised posts along with bracketed candidates, if any. will be called for the Subject Knowledge Test, provided that they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 25%.
  11. The marks obtained by the candidates in the screening test will not be counted for final selection because it is meant only for short-listing of category-wise candidates.

Haryana ADA Exam Pattern of Subject Knowledge Test

  1. Time duration of exam: 03 hours
  2. Total Marks: 150
  3. The question paper will be in English and Hindi.
  4. Paper will be subjective type.
  5. No candidate will be called for the interview/viva-voce unless she/he secures a minimum of 35% marks in the Subject Knowledge Test.
  6. The numbers of the candidates called for interview will be two times, along with bracketed candidates, if any, of the number of advertised posts provided that they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 35%.
  7. The weight-age of the Subject Knowledge test will be 87.5%.

Haryana ADA Interview Syllabus

The weight age of the interview will be 12.5%. The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of second stage examination and interview.

Note: Attendance in all three stages is mandatory.
