The National Institute of fashion technology has released a new notice stating the rules for the proctored entrance exam. Although the exam was conducted offline before, due to the prevailing situations, NIFT will be online. Since proctored exams are relatively new to everyone we will help you understand them in simple terms.
The information in this article describes how the exam will be conducted.

To monitor the candidates appearing for the exam. The proctored examination will require two devices, and one of them will be a laptop that the candidate will use to answer the questions on the NIFT's website.
The proctored exam for NIFT will require 2 devices to participate in the exam.
1st device will be a laptop on which the candidate will answer and appear for the test.
The 2nd device will be an android phone to run the app.
The 2nd device will be placed behind the candidate to make sure no illegal means unfair means are used during the examination.
The examination requirements are that both the devices need to have a stable internet connection. The cameras and the microphones of both devices should be working throughout the examination.
An artificial intelligence system will monitor the test. An invigilator will be present to ensure that no other window browser or file is open on a design and that candidates are not interacting with each other. Found doing any of the above things.
Then the artificial intelligence proctored system will automatically shut down the candidate's examination, and the candidate will be divided from appearing in the exam.

The online vigilance in Images and videos of candidates and their computer systems will be captured only for the entrance exam invigilation purposes. It is mandated for candidates to agree to this. All information would be purged after three months was the conduct of the examination.
