NIFT PROCTORED EXAM DETAILS

The National Institute of fashion technology has released a new notice stating the rules for the proctored entrance exam. Although the exam was conducted offline before, due to the prevailing situations, NIFT will be online. Since proctored exams are relatively new to everyone we will help you understand them in simple terms.

DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS FOR NIFT PROCTORED EXAM

To monitor the candidates appearing for the exam. The proctored examination will require two devices, and one of them will be a laptop that the candidate will use to answer the questions on the NIFT's website.

The proctored exam for NIFT will require 2 devices to participate in the exam. 

1st device will be a laptop on which the candidate will answer and appear for the test.

The 2nd device will be an android phone to run the app.

• For Apple users, I know Operating System 11 or below It is Chrome browser installed is good enough.

• However, you will need an android mobile to run the video Audio. 

• The minimum requirement is to have a 1.2-megapixel camera with Good quality mic.

• The Windows Operating system should be Windows 7 or above.

• The configurations should be 4GB + RAM, And i5 Generation 2.2 gigahertz equivalent Processing.

The 2nd device will be placed behind the candidate to make sure no illegal means unfair means are used during the examination.

The examination requirements are that both the devices need to have a stable internet connection. The cameras and the microphones of both devices should be working throughout the examination. 

An artificial intelligence system will monitor the test. An invigilator will be present to ensure that no other window browser or file is open on a design and that candidates are not interacting with each other. Found doing any of the above things.

Then the artificial intelligence proctored system will automatically shut down the candidate's examination, and the candidate will be divided from appearing in the exam.

RULES FOR THE NIFT PROCTORED EXAMINATION

1. The camera and the microphones should be turned on throughout the duration of the examination. 
2. The login time is given 60 minutes before the commencement of the exam. So that all formalities can be completed beforehand.
3. If you want to check if your system is compatible or not, then visit the Official Website Click on the mock test Section and appear for a mock test that will give an idea about how the system will work.
4. The admissions site on NIFT’s Official Website will have a Link For the online test port.
5. Click on it and log in with your Credit and cheers: the username and the password.
6. An important point to remember is that Only a chrome browser is allowed as it is approved. The browser will be entertained or accepted, and you won't be able to log in unless you use Chrome.
7. You can visit The Official Website of the National Institute of fashion energy and give a mock Test.
8. You're going to have your system checked. Some system requirements are specified on the website, which states that a desktop laptop-

MONITORING AND RECORDING DURING NIFT PROCTORED EXAM

The online vigilance in Images and videos of candidates and their computer systems will be captured only for the entrance exam invigilation purposes. It is mandated for candidates to agree to this. All information would be purged after three months was the conduct of the examination.
