MP ADPO Previous Year Question Papers include the written CBT papers and are the official written-exam papers set by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) for the Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer post.

  • The exam consists of a two-stage selection process: a Written Examination (Computer-Based Test / OMR-based) and a Viva-Voce Interview.
  • The exam pattern is 150 MCQs, 450 marks, 3 hours. Part A (General Knowledge) has 50 questions; Part B (Law) has 100 questions.

Key Points About MP ADPO Previous Year Question Papers

The exam is conducted for 107 posts on 1 November 2026 (Sunday), 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, rescheduled from 18 October 2026. MP ADPO 2026 admit cards were released on 21 October 2026.

  • MP ADPO has no Prelims or Mains. Selection is one written CBT (450 marks) plus an interview (50 marks), so every previous paper candidate solves a full-length mock of the real exam.
  • Part B (Law) carries 300 of 450 marks, two-thirds of the paper. Part A still matters because candidate must clear 40% in each part separately (30% for MP-domicile SC, ST and OBC candidates).
  • Older papers test the IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act. From 1 July 2024 these were replaced by the BNS, BNSS and BSA, so map every old question to the new section before revising.
  • The 2026 exam has only 107 MP ADPO vacancies against 256 in the last cycle, which makes accuracy under negative marking more important than attempting everything.

MP ADPO Written Exam (Prelims-Level) Previous Year Question Papers pattern

MP ADPO does not have separate Prelims and Mains exam. The only written stage is a single objective CBT, which works like a prelims and decides who reaches the interview. The MP ADPO 2026 exam pattern can be referred to get more information about the previous year question papers format.

Every MP ADPO previous year paper therefore has two parts in one sitting.

Part A: General Knowledge Questions

Part A covers the history, geography, culture, economy and polity of Madhya Pradesh, Indian and world current affairs, sports and awards, state welfare schemes, and information and communication technology (computers, e-governance, cyber security, AI). MP-specific questions are where candidates from outside the state usually lose marks.

Part B: Law Questions

Part B covers the Constitution of India, criminal law and procedure, the law of evidence, and a long list of special and local Acts. These include the NDPS Act 1985, the POCSO Act 2012, the Domestic Violence Act 2005, the Dowry Prohibition Act 1961, the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989, and Madhya Pradesh laws such as the MP Excise Act 1915, the MP State Security Act 1990 and the MP Lok Sewaon Ke Pradan Ki Guarantee Adhiniyam 2010.

Part Subject Questions Marks Minimum to qualify (General/EWS) Minimum (MP SC/ST/OBC)
Part A General Knowledge of Madhya Pradesh, India and the world 50 150 60 45
Part B Law 100 300 120 90
Total – 150 450 – –

MP ADPO Previous Year Question Papers Analysis

The MP ADPO previous year papers are mostly having law related questions.Part B carries two-thirds of the marks, and each law question is worth the same 3 marks as a GK question. The analysis below is built from the official pattern and the 2022 cycle's numbers.

Section Share of total marks Questions
Part A: General Knowledge 33% (150 of 450) 50
Part B: Law 67% (300 of 450) 100

Benefits of Solving MP ADPO Previous Year Question Papers

Solving MP ADPO previous year papers shows you how MPPSC actually asks questions, which no coaching mock can fully copy. The main benefits are:

  • Real question language. You see how MPPSC words statement-based and section-based law questions, in both Hindi and English.
  • Part-wise balance. A full paper tells you quickly whether you are at risk of failing the 40% Part A minimum even with a strong law score.
  • Negative-marking control. Timed practice shows how many wrong answers you make per paper, which you can then bring down.
  • Time planning. 150 questions in 180 minutes leaves about 1 minute 12 seconds per question. Papers teach you where to spend extra time.
  • Focus on special and MP laws. Old papers show how much space MPPSC gives to local and special Acts, an area most judiciary-focused candidates under-prepare.
  • Honest self-check. Your score on a real paper is a more reliable readiness signal than a score on an easier mock.

How to Effectively Use MP ADPO Previous Year Papers?

Candidates can use MP ADPO previous year papers as timed full mocks first and as revision material after. A simple method that works with only two papers:

  1. Solve the 2022 paper in one 3-hour sitting at the exam time slot, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, without pausing.
  2. Score it the MPPSC way: +3 for each correct answer, −1 for each wrong one. Check Part A and Part B against the 40% minimums separately.
  3. Tag every wrong or skipped question as one of four types: did not know, half knew, misread, or ran out of time.
  4. Map old-law questions to the new codes. Rewrite each IPC, CrPC or Evidence Act answer with the BNS, BNSS or BSA section.
  5. Revise from the bare Act, not just the answer key, for every "did not know" and "half knew" topic.
  6. Solve the 2015 paper the same way a week later and compare your error types.
  7. Re-attempt both papers after 2 to 3 weeks. A rise in accuracy, not just attempts, shows real progress.

For recommended bare Acts and guides, see MP ADPO books.

How to Prepare for MP ADPO 2026 using Previous Year Question Papers?

The MP ADPO 2026 written exam is on 1 November 2026, so the final days should go into revision and timed practice, not new material. Use this plan for the last stretch.

Days left What to do
9 to 7 days Solve the 2022 paper as a timed mock; revise BNS, BNSS and BSA sections that appeared in your wrong answers.
6 to 4 days Revise special Acts (NDPS, POCSO, SC/ST Act and Domestic Violence Act) and MP state laws from bare Acts.
3 to 2 days Solve the 2015 paper; revise MP GK and the last 6 months of current affairs for Part A.
1 day Light revision of your error log only; download and print the admit card; check the centre route.

For a full subject-wise plan, read the MP ADPO preparation strategy.

Common Mistakes to Avoid While Using MP ADPO Previous Year Papers

Candidates do the biggest mistake with MP ADPO previous year papers treating old answers as current law. Avoid these as well:

  • Learning IPC or CrPC section numbers from old answer keys without converting them to BNS or BNSS.
  • Checking only the total score. A candidate with a high law score can still fail if Part A falls below 60 (General) or 45 (MP SC/ST/OBC).
  • Ignoring negative marking while self-scoring, which can inflate your estimate by 30 to 50 marks.
  • Mixing up the 2021 and 2022 labels and thinking you have solved two different papers.
  • Using unverified PDFs from random sites that may have missing pages or wrong answer keys.
  • Solving papers once and moving on. With only two genuine papers, the second attempt after revision is where most learning happens.
