IIM Shillong Admission Process 2026-2028 Eligibility Criteria

If you want to grab your seat in IIM Shillong, you need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria like:

• Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA++ (45% in case of reserved categories).
• For domestic candidates, a valid CAT 2024 scorecard conforming to the Indian Institute of Management Shillong's shortlisting criteria is required.

IIM Shillong Admission Procedure 2026-2028 Batch 

Admission to the PGP 2024-26 batch will involve two phases, viz.,

• Phase 1- Candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) process.
• Phase 2- The final merit list will be prepared for the offer of admission to the PGP 2024-26 batch.

PHASE 1: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)

Phase 1: Shortlisting of the candidates for Personal Interview (PI)

The CAT 2025 aspirants who have opted for the IIM Shillong PGP 2026-28 batch are eligible for consideration in Phase 1. 

Also, the candidates should meet the minimum required percentile for all three sections of the CAT exam. Here is the table describing the minimum percentile requirements for shortlisting in various categories:

PHASE 2: Merit Listing for Offering Admission to the MBA Programme

After the PI process, the scores of the PI will be used, along with ARS, overall CAT performance, and gender score of the shortlisted candidates, for the preparation of the final merit list.

To improve gender diversity, Gender (G) will require a score of 10 for all candidates except those of the gender with the maximum proportion appearing in CAT 2025.

Although the details regarding the process are made available to the participants after they are offered admission to the Institute, the total fee for the two-year Postgraduate Program (PGP) is estimated to be approximately INR 15 lakhs.

IIM Shillong Documents Required 2026-28 Batch

While filling out your IIM Shillong application form, the CAT 2025 aspirants must upload some documents. These include:

• Scanned passport-size photograph of you in JPG/JPEG format (size maximum 80 KB) 
• Scanned image of your signature in JPG/JPEG format (size of minimum 150 pixels). 
• Scanned copies of self-attested Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, PwD certificate), if applicable 
• A valid e-mail ID. 
• A printer is connected to your system to print a confirmation page.

IIM Shillong Admission Process: How To Apply?

Here are the easy steps that you can follow to apply for the IIM Shillong admission process 2026-28 batch for MBA:

• Log in to the official website with your CAT 2025 ID and Password.
• Enter your personal, educational and work experience in the required fields. 
• Upload the scanned photograph, signature and category certificates. 
• Pay the application fee online using the ‘Make Payment’ tab. 
• Application Fee for the exam is INR 1900.
• Once the application form is filled out, submit the form and take a hard copy of the printout for future reference. Also, record your login credentials for future reference.
