• United World Institute of Design offers a Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) in 8 specialisations and a Master of Design (M.Des.) in 6 specializations. Candidates can choose any specialization according to their will and marks.
• The official notification of the UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Master of Design (M.Des.) courses mentioning UID DAT Exam Pattern was released on 5th January 2023 on the official website of the UID, i.e. https://uid.edu.in. 
• The online UID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) application form 2023 was out on 5th January 2023 for the B.Des. and M.Des. courses.

Prerequisites for UID DAT Application Form 2023

Students are required to keep the following documents ready before applying for the UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2023 for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Master of Design (M.Des.) courses to guarantee to constrain and correct information about them. 

If there is any mismatch between the real data and the enrolled data, the students have to report it to the authorities immediately.

The students require the following documents to fill out the UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Application form 2023. The required documents are as follows:

• Caste Certificate - SC/ST/OBC-NCL: The caste certificate of the OBC-NCL must not be issued 6 months from the last submission date of the online UID DAT application form 2023.
• If the candidate is Physically Disabled: a certificate of disability is issued by the adequate authority as per the applicable rules.
• Date of birth certificate: Birth certificate or certificate of secondary / higher secondary/senior secondary school, date of birth mentioned on the certificate by the recognized board of education.
• Class 10th passing certificate and mark sheet
• Class 12th passing certificate and mark sheet
• Graduation Marks Sheet for the postgraduate courses (Master of Design)
• Passing Certificate of Graduation for the postgraduate courses (Master of Design)
• Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) degree and mark sheets for Master of Design courses
• ID Proof, i.e. Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter ID card, Passport, Driving License, etc.
• Two Passport Size coloured Photograph
• Scanned copy of Signature

How to Fill Online UID DAT Application Form 2023?

The UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) application form 2023 for the undergraduate (B.Des.), postgraduate (M.Des.), and PhD level design courses were available at the official website of the UID, i.e. https://uid.edu.in. 

The UID DAT online application form was out on 5th January 2023. Candidates are requested to collect their documents before starting with the UID DAT entrance examination registration process. 

The steps to be followed to fill out the form are given below:

1. Registration

• Visit the official website of the United World Institute of Design, i.e. https://admissions.uid.edu.in. 
• Click on the link ‘Apply online’ to fill out the application form.
• Enter the Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Permanent Address, Education Qualification, and Mobile Number.
• Enter the captcha and click on the "Submit" button. You will get your login details.
• Log in again using your login credentials, which you received in the first registration step.

2. Fill in the Personal Details in the Application Form

• Then you must fill in your Personal, Educational, Parental, and Employment details to proceed further in the registration process.
• Ensure that you save every module while filling in the details.
• You can make changes before the last step before the final submission of the application form.
• If, in any case, there is any correction in the application form after the final submission. It should be reported to the authorities as soon as possible.

3. Upload Your Required Documents

The candidates need to upload the following documents while applying for the UID DAT Exam.

• Two Passport - size photographs of the candidate.
• Scanned image of their signature (with a black ink pen on white paper).

4. Payment of Application Fees

• Students can pay their application fee through various online modes, i.e. net banking, debit cards, and UPI.
• Students can also pay through various offline modes, i.e. SBI Bank E-challan, post office, etc.
• After paying the application fee, students must click the “Submit” button to submit the application.
• The application fee for the General category students is Rs. 2,000/-
• The application fee for the OBC (other backward classes) category students is Rs. 1,000/-
• The application fee for the SC (Schedule Caste)/ST (Schedule Tribe)/Persons with Benchmark Disability category students is Rs. 1,000/-
