SSC CGL Tier 2 Important Topics

The second stage of the CGL Exam is scheduled on June 25, 2020, in online mode. The tier 2 exam includes four sections i.e., Quantitative Ability, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics (only for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr. II & Compiler, General Studies (Finance and Economics) (Just for the post of Assistant Audit Officer). Except for the English section remaining all three sections include 100 questions. Q. Is Tier 3 compulsory in SSC Combined Graduate Level recruitment?

A. Staff Selection Commission mandates each stage of CGL. Candidates have to appear for all the stages in the exam to qualify for the desired post.

Thus, Tier 3 is compulsory in SSC CGL. No stage including Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 can be skipped. Absence of any candidate in any of these stages reduces their chance of selection.

Q. I am in my final year. Can I give SSC Combined Graduate Level exam?

A. Yes. If the candidate can manage a provisional degree, they can apply. Otherwise, the candidates must have their official graduation degree to be eligible to give this exam

Q. I have a diploma. Can I also apply for the SSC Combined Graduate Level exam?

A. No. Diploma holders are NOT eligible for the SSC CGL exam. The candidate must be a graduate.

Q. I want to apply for IB, Railway and Narcotics Department through CGL, so will I have to attend all 4 tier or only tier 1 & 2?

If you want to apply for IB, Railway and Narcotics Department, you have to appear only for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 exam. Tier 4 is only for those candidates who are applying for the post of Asst. Section Officer in CSS.

Q. Is there any interview for CGL recruitment?

A. No, there is no interview conducted in SSC CGL Exam. According to the new recruitment, Interview is replaced by the descriptive examination of 100 marks also known as Tier III exam.
