How to fill out the NLSAT Application form 2026?
The registration process for NLSAT 2026 has commenced and will only happen online. Below are the steps to follow to fill out the form for NLSAT 2026:
Visit the Official Website:
Go to the official NLSIU website: www.nls.ac.in.
Look for the NLSAT 2026 Application Form link under the "Admissions" or "Examinations" section.
Registration:
Click on the NLSAT registration link.
Fill in the required details to create a new account, including your name, email address, mobile number, and other personal details.
Verify your email and mobile number through the OTP sent.
Filling the Application Form:
Log in with your registered email and password.
Complete the application form with your personal, academic, and contact details.
Upload the necessary documents, such as:
Passport-sized photograph.
Signature.
Scanned copies of your ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.).
Relevant educational certificates (if required).
Application Fee Payment:
Pay the application fee online through the available payment modes (credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI).
The fee amount is usually specified on the Application Form or the NLSIU website.
Submission:
Review all the details you have filled in to ensure there are no errors.
Submit the Application Form after ensuring all the information is correct.
Download Confirmation:

The candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised national or international university.
The applicants should have graduated with an aggregate of at least 45% & of the total marks in the case of the general category and 40% of the total marks in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
1. NLSAT application 2026 form: Student Information
Under the Student Information section, Candidates will be asked to fill in details like their name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and alternate contact number, religion, nationality and their current annual household income (in INR).
In addition, the candidates would be expected to attach ID Proof, a government-issued photo ID with an acceptable maximum size of 5MB and in formats such as PNG, JPEG, JPG, and PDF.
The parents' details, such as their name, mobile number, email ID and Occupation, will also be considered. The Address of the Correspondence will be required along with the mention of basics like city, state, pin code, etc.
2. NLSAT Application Form 2026 Academic Qualification
Applicants in the final year of their undergraduate programme can also apply. They will have to upload (1) a bona fide certificate for NLSAT from their university/college/department stating that they are in the final year of the programme, and (2) transcripts of the previous years of the programme.
The NLSAT Application Form 2026 asks for the Candidate's essential details like Class 10th and 12th Marksheets and percentages/CGPA.
The candidates would also be required to provide details about the UG Degree, like the UG Degree Certificate/Bonafide Certificate, along with transcripts and mark sheets in JPEG, JPG, or PDF format.
The candidates would also be required to specify other educational qualifications if they possess any.
The candidates will also be required to upload their CV (Curriculum Vitae)
Since the NLSAT – 3 yr LLB course is designed for already graduated and working professionals, it might be possible that they possess some work experience post the bachelor's degree and in the NLSAT 2026 Application Form, it shall be taken into due consideration.
If the candidate has any work experience, they would have to specify the timeline. No documentation is required related to it, and it is only for the records.
4. NLSAT Application Form 2026– Eligibility for Reservations

Caste Certificate to be submitted as proof to avail the benefit of reservation and if you are a person with Disability (PWD), whether you require a scribe or not, you shall be required to submit a PWD Certificate. The candidate would also be required to specify whether they belong to the Karnataka Category
5. NLSAT Application Form 2026: Preference of Test Centre
The candidates are required to specify their preferred test centre. The candidates are required to give up to 3 preferences, and they don't need to get the first preference which they have chosen.
Note: The University reserves the right to allot candidates a centre that is not their first, second, or third preference if it is not logistically feasible to conduct the admissions test in the center/s indicated by the candidate. The application fee shall not be refunded if the candidate is not allotted a centre of his choice.
6. NLSAT Application Form 2026 – Other Essentials
The candidates would be required to answer the questions about where they heard about the LLB Course, whether through word of mouth, social media, etc. Please note this is a mandatory question to answer.
The candidates must submit a copy of their current CV (Curriculum Vitae) that does not exceed 2 pages. Its maximum size limit is five mb, and supported versions like doc, docx/pdf would be accepted.
The NLSIU Bengaluru, in total, offers 120 seats in its 3-year LLB programme based on its reservation policy. The reservation policy, which the university has specified, is mentioned below:

The NLSAT 2026 Application Form will be available online only. As such no offline applications shall be provided for the same. This exam will be conducted in offline – pen & paper mode only. The list of centres will be available in the application form.

The Application Fee is non-refundable.
