The National Institute of Design (NID) has announced the final results for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) held on the 27th and 28th of April 2024, for admission into their Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs.

The results of the NID entrance exam are determined by a 30% weightage from the prelims and 70% from the mains for the B.Des course.

What to do After NID DAT B.Des Result

Along with the NID DAT B.Des results, the university also announced the dates for submission of campus preference and seat allotment. 

NID also announced that If you are not satisfied with your DAT B.Des result 2024, you can apply for rechecking until May 22, 2024, on the official website.

The submission window for filling and updating your campus preference is open from 21 May to 23 May 2024.

Steps for Re-Checking NID DAT B.Des Result 2024

You must pay Rs 2000/- as a rechecking fee for checking both NID DAT mains results. Here are the steps for re-checking your NID DAT B.Des results -

• Visit the official website or the link above.
• Click on the appropriate link of the “Login to submit Rechecking Request for B.Des. DAT Prelims Exam 2024”.
• Now, enter your E-mail ID and Date of Birth, after entering all the details.
• Click on the submit button.

NID Campus Preference Submission 2024

After viewing your results, yoou will be asked to submit your campus preferences. You can modify the selection multiple times between 21 May to 23 May 2024. The last selection of the campus, after the deadline, will be considered as final.

If you fail to submit your campus preference by 23 May 2024 4 PM, you will lose the chance to proceed further in the admissions process. It will be considered that you are not interested.

In such cases the seat will be offered to the next qualifying candidate in the order of merit in the respective category. Such candidates cannot participate in the subsequent rounds of the admissions process.

NID Seat Confirmation Fee 2024

If you have been allotted seats in any of the NID DAT Counselling rounds, you have to pay a non-refundable fee for your NID DAT B.Des seat confirmation. Here's the NID category-wise seat confimation fee -

Failure to pay the token fee for seat confirmation by 4 PM on 31 May 2024 will result in the cancellation of the provisional seat allocation. The seat will then be offered to the next eligible candidate based on merit.

Candidates who do not make the payment may only participate in later admission rounds for institutes that were ranked higher in their initial campus preference than the one for which the token fee was unpaid.
