Haryana Judiciary Syllabus 2023 for Prelims Exam

The prelims exam shall be of objective type with multiple-choice questions. The question paper of the preliminary examination consists of 125 questions, each with four marks.

The Haryana Judiciary Syllabus 2023 for Prelims comprises Current Affairs, Indian Legal History, Constitutional Development, and Acts mentioned under Civil Law-I, Civil Law-II, and Criminal Law indicated for the Main Examination.

However, for the candidate belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Serviceman candidates only (but not dependents of ESM), a minimum of 45% aggregate marks should be obtained for qualification.

  • The interview is worth a total of 200 marks.
  • The interview will be conducted only in English.
  • The interview is conducted to judge the personal qualities of the candidate.
  • The interview will relate to matters of general interest and will test the candidate's alertness, intelligence, and general outlook.
  • It is mandatory to appear for viva-voce/interview to be considered for the final selection.
  • Candidates will be eligible to be recruited as Civil Judges/Judicial Magistrates if they secure 50% or more marks in aggregate of the marks secured in the main written examination and the viva-voce.
