Exam in 10 days? This plan is built for students who have covered basics and now need a high-impact revision + mock strategy for the IIMB UG exam. You’ll get a day-wise timetable, section-wise priorities (QADI/LR/VARC), a 4-mock schedule, and a checklist for the last 48 hours so you improve accuracy and time management fast.

Can I prepare for the IIMB UG exam in just 10 days? The answer is yes, as long as you use these ten days wisely.

At this stage, spending hours reading textbooks or trying to complete every chapter won’t help much. What you need is a clear preparation strategy that focuses on important topics, regular practice, and, most importantly, improving your accuracy.

If you have already covered the basics, these ten days can help you identify weak areas, improve your question-solving speed, and become more comfortable with the actual exam pattern.

In this guide, we have put together a practical 10-day preparation strategy for the IIMB UG exam, including a day-wise timetable, important topics, mock test recommendations and last-minute preparation tips to help you make the most of your remaining time.

First, Understand the IIMB UG Exam Pattern 2027

Before starting your preparation schedule, take a few minutes to understand the exam pattern. This will help you decide how much time to dedicate to each section. The IIM Bangalore UG Admissions Test is a computer-based exam and covers the NCERT syllabus of Classes 10, 11, and 12.

Here is a quick overview of the examination structure:

Particulars Details
Examination IIM Bangalore Undergraduate Admissions Test
Exam date 15 November 2026
Mode of examination Computer-Based Test
Total questions 60
Total duration 135 minutes

How many hours should you study per day for the IIMB UG?

One of the things students tend to do is try to cram 10 to 12 hours of study in during the final week. That may not be particularly productive, especially if you also have the time to go through mock tests and analyse your mistakes.

A focused six-hour timetable is the way to go.

Time Activity
7:00 AM – 8:30 AM Quantitative Aptitude
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Logical Reasoning
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM English and Reading Comprehension
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Data Interpretation and Mathematics revision
5:00 PM – 5:30 PM Vocabulary and formula revision
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Mock analysis and practice

You can adjust these timings to fit your routine. What matters is consistency.

What Should Be Your Target Score in the IIMB UG Exam?

Many students begin their preparation by asking how many marks they need to score to get into IIM Bangalore. While having a target is important, it is equally important to understand that the admission cutoff can vary based on exam difficulty, applicant performance, and admission criteria.

For your ten-day preparation, keeping 140+ marks as an aspirational target can give you something concrete to work towards. However, don’t make the mistake of attempting every question just to increase your attempt count.

If the applicable marking scheme is +3 for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer, accuracy becomes particularly important. For example:

Correct Incorrect Unattempted Score
48 0 12 144
49 3 8 144
50 5 5 145
47 1 12 140

These are examples using the illustrative +3/-1 marking scheme. The actual final marking scheme will be confirmed in the official examiners' instructions.

The idea is simple really: solving fewer questions correctly can in some cases be better than attempting almost everything with insufficient confidence.

Important Topics to Cover in the Last 10 Days

You don't have the luxury of spending a whole day on one chapter. So before we go on to the timetable, let's look at the topics that you absolutely need to focus on.

IIMB UG 2027: Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation

This section has 30 questions and is therefore the largest section of the paper.

The syllabus is based on the NCERTs for Classes 10, 11 and 12 so you should be pretty familiar with a lot of the maths already. The emphasis now is on speed and applying the concepts correctly.

Important topics to revise:

  • Percentages
  • Profit and Loss
  • Ratio and Proportion
  • Averages
  • Number Systems
  • HCF and LCM
  • Algebra and Equations
  • Inequalities
  • Functions
  • Sequences and Series
  • Arithmetic and Geometric Progressions
  • Calculus
  • Permutations and Combinations
  • Probability
  • Geometry and Mensuration

Data Interpretation topics:

  • Tables
  • Bar Graphs
  • Line Graphs
  • Pie Charts
  • Percentage-based DI
  • Ratio-based DI
  • Average-based DI

Don't spend too long memorising all the complex shortcuts. Just go through loads of questions involving percentages, ratios and the like until you're comfortable with them under time pressure.

IIMB UG 2027: Logical Reasoning

Logical Reasoning is a section where consistent practice can make a noticeable difference.

Even a good mathematician can find themselves struggling with LR as they're not used to the type of arrangement questions that are asked or to interpreting the various conditions.

Make sure you practise:

  • Linear and Circular Seating Arrangements
  • Data Arrangement
  • Blood Relations
  • Direction Sense
  • Coding-Decoding
  • Number and Alphabet Series
  • Syllogisms
  • Statement and Conclusion
  • Analytical Puzzles

My suggestion would be to do at least two arrangement-type puzzles every day. Rather than just looking at the solution, try to work out how each of the conditions affects the arrangement.

IIMB UG 2027: English Language and Reading Comprehension

English is frequently underrated when you're doing aptitude test prep. Remember that reading comprehension isn't just about knowing what the words mean.

You need to understand what the author is trying to communicate, identify the central idea, and distinguish between information directly mentioned in the passage and conclusions you draw yourself.

Focus on:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Synonyms and Antonyms
  • Vocabulary
  • Idioms and Phrases
  • Grammar
  • Sentence Correction
  • Para Jumbles
  • Sentence Completion
  • Reading-based Inference Questions

Try to read at least two passages every day. You can also go through some editorials from reputable newspapers as a means of improving your reading speed and your grasp of topics you may not be familiar with.

How to Use Mock Tests Effectively for IIMB UG Preparation?

Mock tests are not simply a means of checking your score. They're a way of getting a feel for the exam pattern, spotting your weak areas and working out a strategy for tackling the tougher questions.

However, you're just going to be doing a mock after a mock, and that won't in any way automatically improve your performance.

After every mock, take enough time to go over your mistakes.

Ask yourself:

  • Did I get the question right?
  • Did I know the concept but have made a calculation error?
  • Did I spend too long on one question?
  • Could I have done the question some other way?
  • Was the mistake caused by guessing?

Keep a separate record of these mistakes and revisit them before your next test.

If you want to practise with structured test material, explore IIMB UG Online Mock Tests. Regular practice with timed questions can help you become more comfortable with the computer-based examination format.

Should You Join Online Coaching for IIMB UG Preparation?

If you have already covered most of the syllabus, you may not need to start an extensive coaching programme just ten days before the examination.

However, if you are struggling with certain topics, finding the exam pattern difficult to understand, or need structured practice, online coaching can help you stay organised.

A good IIMB UG online coaching programme should offer:

  • Coverage of the relevant examination syllabus.
  • Concept-based lessons for Mathematics.
  • Logical Reasoning practice.
  • Reading Comprehension and English preparation.
  • Topic-wise practice questions.
  • Mock tests and performance analysis.
  • Doubt-solving support.

Students who prefer guided preparation can explore TopRankers IIMB UG Online Coaching to understand the available learning support and preparation resources.

The important thing is to choose resources that address your actual weaknesses. Don’t spend the last ten days watching hours of lectures when you could be solving questions and analysing your performance.

Best Books and Resources for IIMB UG Exam Preparation

With limited time remaining, avoid collecting too many books. Stick to a few reliable resources and focus on practising questions.

Subject Recommended resource
Mathematics NCERT Class 10, 11 and 12
Quantitative Aptitude R.S. Aggarwal Quantitative Aptitude
Logical Reasoning R.S. Aggarwal Reasoning
English Grammar Wren & Martin
Vocabulary Word Power Made Easy
Mock Tests IIMB official sample questions and relevant practice tests
Previous Papers Available IIMB UG sample and previous examination material

You should also solve available IIMB UG previous-year question papers and sample papers to understand the question style and difficulty level.

If you can't find enough previous-year material, use official sample questions and mock tests instead of unverified papers claiming to be actual previous-year papers.

Last-Minute Tips to Score Better in the IIMB UG Exam

As the examination approaches, keep these simple points in mind:

  • Don’t ignore Logical Reasoning. It deserves consistent practice and matters in the admission shortlisting process.
  • Practise DI every day. Regular exposure to tables, graphs and percentage calculations will improve your speed.
  • Read something in English daily. Even 20–30 minutes of focused reading can help you remain comfortable with comprehension passages.
  • Avoid random guessing. Understand the negative marking rules and make sensible decisions.
  • Don’t keep switching study resources. Stick to your existing notes, books and mock tests.
  • Analyse every mock test. Your mistakes often tell you more about your preparation than your overall score.
  • Sleep properly before the exam. Being mentally fresh is just as important as remembering formulas.

Conclusion

Ten days may not seem like a lot of time, but it is enough to make your preparation more focused and organised.

The biggest mistake you can make right now is trying to study everything without a clear plan. Instead, identify your weak areas, prioritise important topics and spend sufficient time practising questions under timed conditions.

Follow this 10-day preparation strategy for IIMB UG exam, stay consistent with your daily targets and make every mock test count.

Remember, your aim should not simply be to attempt more questions. It should be to solve the questions you attempt accurately and confidently.

All the best for your IIM Bangalore UG Admissions Test on 15 November 2026!
